Jill Stein Sweeps Kansas Green Party Primary, Wins Four Delegates

The Kansas Green Party announced the results of its party-organized primary last Friday, with Green presidential candidate Dr. Jill Stein winning all votes cast. The primary took place from January 22 to February 5, 2024, and was open to all Kansas Greens who requested a ballot online.

According to a post shared by the Kansas Green Party, seven members participated in the primary. The party conducted their primary using a modified form of proportional ranked-choice voting to accommodate four candidates, with all voting members ranking Stein as their first choice.

“Honored to win the Kansas Green Party primary – a fantastic start to our journey to earn the nomination,” Stein shared on X Monday evening.

As a result of her victory, Stein earned four delegates for the Green Party’s Presidential Nominating Convention scheduled to occur in July.

The Kansas primary is the first Green Party primary held this election cycle. The second primary of the season will take place in Pennsylvania beginning this week and run until early March. The Green Party’s 2024 Annual National Meeting and Presidential Nominating Convention will convene remotely from July 11 to July 14, 2024.
