The Green Party concluded two primary elections this Super Tuesday week. An earlier party-held primary in Pennsylvania officially ended this Monday, while a state-run primary occurred in California as part of Super Tuesday. Dr. Jill Stein is projected to win the majority of delegates from Pennsylvania, while write-in information has not yet been released in California.
The Green Party of California held a state-run primary this year as part of Super Tuesday. Only Dr. Jill Stein appeared outright on the ballot; however, Daví, Matthew Pruden, and Jorge Zavala were recognized write-in candidates leading up to the election. According to the California Secretary of State’s office, Stein received 7,113 votes. As of Wednesday afternoon, the number of write-in votes has not yet been released, so it’s unknown how many votes the three recognized write-in candidates received.
The Green Party of California delegation has 59 delegates available at the 2024 Presidential Nominating Convention.
