Green Party POTUS Candidates To Appear Via Zoom At Green Party Of Utah Convention

In a Media Release received by IPR earlier today, the Green Party of Utah announced details regarding their upcoming State Convention, to be held on Saturday 27 April 2024 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The convention is scheduled to include virtual appearances by three candidates seeking the Green Party‘s POTUS nomination. Appearances are scheduled as follows (Mountain Time):

2:20pm Introduction of Presidential Candidates

2:30pm Dr. Jill Stein, a physician, activist, and past GP POTUS candidate (2012 and 2016).

3:10pm Jorge Zavala, a businessman, DCI world champion, and community leader.

3:45pm Jasmine Sherman, Executive Director of Greater Charlotte Rise, a 501(c)3.

The convention is scheduled to begin at 10AM in the Salt Lake City Public Library, Meeting Room B.

A 2-hour meet-up will be followed by a 2-hour lunch break.

The convention is scheduled to reconvene at 2PM with introductions followed by virtual appearances by the POTUS candidates as noted above.

The convention will conclude with a discussion of the process for electing delegates to the national party convention, and other internal business.

Each GP POTUS candidate was invited to complete a 9-question survey. PDFs of each candidate’s response can be found at the end of this article.

The Green Party of Utah commits to building an inclusive political party through promoting candidates and causes that align with the Green Party’s ten key values and the four pillars of social justice, ecology, non-violence, and grassroots democracy.

Greens are grassroots activists, environmentalists, advocates for social justice, nonviolent resisters and regular citizens who’ve had enough of corporate-dominated politics. Government must be part of the solution, but when it’s controlled by the 1%, it’s part of the problem.
