Members of the Tennessee Green Party convened electronically in late April for their 2024 state nominating meeting, during which the party allocated its four delegates. Dr. Jill Stein garnered the majority of delegates available, followed by Jasmine Sherman.
Five Green Party presidential candidates, including Jill Stein, Jasmine Sherman, Davi, Jorge Zavala, and Randy Toler, attended the virtual meeting held on April 27 to present their campaign platforms and engage in a short Q&A session. Members in attendance also participated in an open discussion about the Green Party’s Qualifying Standards and selected delegates to the Presidential Nominating Convention scheduled for later this year.

According to a release by the Tennessee Green Party, Jill Stein earned three of Tennessee’s four available delegates, while Jasmine Sherman won the remaining one. The party did not provide specific member vote totals.
Since the meeting, a ballot was sent out on May 3, 2024, to determine which specific party members will fill the four delegate slots.
The Green Parties of New Jersey and Maine also met over the past weekend for their respective conventions to select presidential delegates. Independent Political Report is currently awaiting delegate totals and will update readers in a separate article.
