Libertarian Party of Georgia Becomes Latest Libertarian Party Affiliate to Join Kennedy Victory Fund

The Libertarian Party of Georgia is the latest state affiliate to join the Kennedy Victory Fund, a joint fundraising committee established between the Libertarian National Committee and Team Kennedy. The decision followed a vote on Sunday by the party’s Executive Committee.

According to a screenshot from the draft minutes shared over social media, the Libertarian Party of Georgia’s Executive Committee voted to authorize the party chair to sign all contracts related to the joint fundraising committee. The motion passed after debate, with 13 votes in favor and seven against. The party later confirmed over X that it had joined the Kennedy Victory Fund, simply stating “Joined” in response to the Libertarian Party of Connecticut.

Once the party chair signs the agreement, the Libertarian Party of Georgia will formally become the thirteenth organization actively involved in the fundraising effort. The Kennedy Victory Fund’s most recent FEC report, filed several weeks after Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced the suspension of his presidential campaign, indicates that the committee currently includes the Libertarian National Committee, Team Kennedy, eight Libertarian Party state affiliates, the American Independent Party of California, and the Libertarian Mutual Aid PAC.

However, not all Georgia Libertarians are supportive of the decision. Ahead of the vote, the Lake Hartwell Libertarian Party—a county-level affiliate representing Hart, Franklin, and Elbert Counties—urged the state Executive Committee to reconsider joining the Kennedy Victory Fund. In a statement, the affiliate expressed concern that the agreement “has greatly affected our ability to grow our affiliate and fundraise for our Presidential candidate because it appears as an endorsement to the opposition.”

Following the vote, the Lake Hartwell Libertarian Party passed a resolution denouncing the decision, calling it “inconsistent with the core principles and values of the Libertarian movement.” It further urged the state party to reconsider and “reaffirm its commitment to libertarian ideals.”

Recent fundraising figures reported by the Libertarian Party watchdog site Third Party Watch indicate that the Kennedy Victory Fund raised $947,182 in large donations for August, with $92,300 going to the Libertarian National Committee.

This late in the game & post RFK withdrawing from the race – thus turning off his own donor base – there really is zero reason to join a JFC – other than wet farting in the face of their own candidate.

While their pants are down perhaps someone can insert a probe to see if there’s a brain in their somewhere…..

    Doubt it!

Honestly, not too shabby. The LNC certainly can’t afford to turn its nose up at that kind of money.

Why not? Libertarians are just disgruntled republicans that hate minorities and wear MAGA gear and blame government for their misery and failures
