    @Solipsistic Dungfly
You’ve taken to referring to yourself in the third person, I see. Is dissociating from yourself the only way you can live with your fascist bigotry?

  2. SocraticGadfly September 27, 2024

I see Crickets is now blind and deaf re his cold take on debates. And other stupidities. But, speaking of Winger, Crickets is a good supporter of fascism at BAN.

    And we’re back.

Late last night, the site encountered an issue related to the SSL certificate conflicting with our Cloudflare hosting. Everything should be resolved now. Thank you to everyone who reached out to inform us about the outage. We appreciate your patience!

June 27th: Biden gives a poor showing at the CNN presidential debate.
July 13th: Attempted assassination of Trump
July 21st: Democrats force Biden to drop out of the race
September 10th: Harris gives a terrible showing at the ABC presidential debate.
September 15th: Attempted assassination of Trump
??? : Democrats force Harris to drop out of the race

I can see why Trump isn’t keen on further debates embarrassing the Democrats to the point where they feel the need to try and kill him.

Yikes. Harris is hanging herself while Trump just stands there feeding her the rope to do it. Even Biden put up a far stronger showing against Trump than this during the CNN debate. And I genuinely this Biden would be doing less badly in this ABC debate than Harris is right now, as well.

ABC’s moderators are so desperate to help Harris save face, that they immediately started brazenly lying about full-term abortions not happening anywhere in the US, on the very first question. After that, they never looked back and haven’t stopped lying since.
In addition, they are repeating all of the familiar old tricks they already used in 2020: Giving Harris more time, giving Harris extra chances to respond, while at the same time interrupting Trump and cutting off his mic off, et cetera ad nauseam.

Worst of all, they are doing it completely brazenly, as if they think people don’t see what they are doing or won’t care. It’s as if they have completely given up on pretending to be unbiased.
Right now, ABC is handing the debate, if not the entire election, to Trump on a silver platter. While they could easily turn the table on him, because he puts his foot in his mouth each time he starts giving his own replies instead of reacting to Harris and the ABC’s bullshit. But they’re not doing that.

During the CNN debate, Trump and Biden were both their own worst enemy too. But where the CNN moderators gave Biden and Trump the rope to hang themselves with, Trump is now giving Harris and ABC the rope to hang each other with.
The tables have been turned, but it isn’t Trump who turned them – it’s the moderators themselves. They keep doubling down on letting Harris give Trump more and more ammunition to deflect against her. The more they try to make him look bad, the more he is succeeds at making her look bad.

Does ABC want Trump to win? This debate sure makes it seem so. SMH.

“Leif Carter […] got ballot access as a Dem, he left the party mid race and joined the Reform Party.”

Oh that reminds me, apparently Gloria Romero just switched from D to R, having previously already endorsed Larry Elder against Gavin Newsom, because she felt alienated by Biden-Harris’ medical fascism, eco-fascism and “gender” fascism, etc. She even went so far as to endorse Trump, and to call RFK her personal hero, neither of which makes any sense given her reasons for leaving the Democrats.

Elon Musk auditing the federal government? He doesn’t strike me as an obvious choice – not least because he already has his hands full playing with fire in every pie – but someone has to do it.

Something I’m excited for: the John Gibb/Tony Jones write-in campaign for president!

These are both Reform Party guys who’ve stepped up after RFK bowed out. Gibb is even gonna be a part of a streamed third-party debate next week, along with Chase Oliver and Jill Stein.

Obviously, write-in campaigns are much more about making a statement than actually winning, but I’m just glad to have someone I’m not embarrassed to vote for this November.

  9. Nicholas Hensley September 5, 2024

Leif Carter is a candidate for Pike County Board. Even though he got ballot access as a Dem, he left the party mid race and joined the Reform Party.

He is one of five in a pick five race.

The maharishi and his supporters abandoned the natural law party a couple of decades ago in favor of their next plan, creating a cabinet level department of peace. It continued to exist only as a pro forma mechanism, unconnected to its origins, in two states. At times, it has endorsed various candidates of other parties in those states in some quid pro quo fashion, including presidential candidates and perhaps a tiny handful of others over the years. I’m less sure of who got a hold of the reins or how, but it’s has nothing to do with its origins in a long time.

    Missing context –

Just to be clear, in case it wasn’t originally:

I’m not talking about comments held up in the moderation queue. They successfully appeared as posted to the site twice, and were removed twice after being successfully posted.

The first time around, the made up email address (because WordPress insists on someone making up a name and email address to post comments, or even more idiotically, sharing their real ones in total disregard of privacy and personal safety) I used to post the comment was also BANned from further commenting at BAN. Unlike the original comment which led to this, those subsequent comments did not appear as successfully posted and then get memoryholed, they went straight to memory hole (but posted without problems once the email field was adjusted).

The second time, I toned it down – despite the fact that it wasn’t that impolite to begin with, compared to what is habitually posted repeatedly about all kinds of people there, whether they post there or not – and again it was successfully posted and only later taken down.

The third time, I copied what I wrote and cross posted if here in case it happens again.

So uhh, it’s still not clear to me:

How did Wendt manage to regain control of the national Natural Law Party from the Kennedy campaign?
Had he already regained control by the time he announced the NLP’s renominating convention (which ended up replacing RFK with Cornel West), or was his announcement based on wishes and dreams at the time he made it?

What made it possible for the long-dead Florida NLP to revive the national NLP, when the Michigan NLP which had been active throughout, could not do so?
And conversely, what prevented the active Michigan NLP, that did not form any obstacle for the inactive Florida NLP?

Does the Transcendental Meditation movement even still have any control over the NLP, or is it just a cash cow that somehow wound up in Wendt’s hands?
If the former, why would the TM movement nominate people like West and Kennedy (and Nader, Anderson, Soltysik and de la Fuente)?
And if the latter, how did Wendt gain control of the Florida NLP in the first place?
In fact, what (if any) is Wendt’s relation to the TM racket?

If Wendt disliked the terms of his contract with the Kennedy campaign so much, why did he enter into it in the first place, only to then bait-and-switch for West?
And why would Cornel West even be willing to get into bed with Wendt, after what happened between Wendt and the Kennedy campaign?

  13. Reality September 4, 2024

To be fair, besides being Mr Wendt’s friend (or wanting to think a sociopath like Mr Wendt has actual friends), Mr Winger may have also taken Mr Wendt’s habitual threats of litigation way too seriously.

Nothing about allowing the publication of truthful and accurate facts would make Mr Winger (or this site) legally liable.

    These facts are:

Joe Wendt has a long history of erratically hopping around to widely different ideologies, parties and candidates. Easily documented fact.

Joe Wendt is not a person of means. He works as a janitor, or used to in the recent past. Easily documented fact. There’s nothing wrong with working as a janitor. There’s also nothing wrong with pointing out that someone else works or worked as a janitor.

Joe Wendt has an admitted drinking problem. This is a fact. He alluded to it many times himself. It’s not a secret to anyone who has dealt with him. Many people have struggled with alcohol abuse issues. Why would it be verboten, at a site generally as dedicated to free speech as ballot access news of all places, to point this out about a public person?

It’s not, or shouldn’t be, particularly controversial to point out that Mr Wendt’s political activity is attention seeking behaviour. It also should not be particularly controversial to point out that, at least recently if not before, there are also financial motivations.

No one said or implied any actual mental diagnosis, but colloquially speculating or assessing someone’s mental health in website comments, particularly in regards to a public person, is far from actionable against the hosting site, regardless of any empty threats.

If the motive is to protect a supposed friend, that’s Equally shameful.

Mr. Winger, of all the things which get posted in your comments, why would these be the comments you would repeatedly remove after they are successfully posted? I know you read and comment here as well, so please explain.

There is plenty of documentation behind each and every thing I said – they are not false accusations, unlike what is habitually posted about all kinds of people at your site, this one, or many others. I haven’t yet taken the time to dig through archives and assemble it, but will if this persists. There are plenty of outlets to publish it, not just as comments, but as fodder for investigative journalism by others who have covered Mr Wendts more recent antics among other possibilities.

I kindly advise you to cease attempts to sweep these facts under the rug. You will achieve the exact opposite.

  14. Reality September 4, 2024

While Ballot Access News generally let’s commenters post anything and everything they want, it has twice already removed comments (on page 8 as of this time!) which criticize Joe Wendt with 100% accurate information which can be easily documented. Here’s the latest round, before it disappears there as well:

    -++++>

“Why is this site censoring comments which point out that wendt has nothing to do with the maharishi, that he has a long history of party and ideology hopping, or his actual job, personal problems, and likely actual motivations?

This censorship will be exposed and explored, in detail and repeatedly, at other sites if need be, if it continues. If your motive is to protect Mr Wendt from the truth because he’s your friend, you’ll achieve the exact opposite.

Everything I’ve said about him which you keep erasing is a matter of public record and has been mentioned numerous times in the past in discussions elsewhere and in your own past archives for that matter. It can be dug up, and posted repeatedly all over the place, if you persist in this unconscionable censorship of the truth about this intentionally public person.”

Things that make you go hmmm…

(National) socialists were so preoccupied with pulling false accusations out from where the sun never shines, e.g. that RFK was seeking a quid pro quo to drop out of the presidential race and endorse the highest bidder, that they turned a blind eye on what was going on in their own death camp under their very noses:

    https://x.com/EndTribalism/status/1828193346004615581

Cornel West claims Kamala Harris tried to bribe and coerce him into dropping out of the race and endorsing her.

This is the same Harris who wouldn’t even accept a telephone call from RFK to discuss the possibility of any potential common ground regarding free speech, the war in “Ukraine” and the war on our children.

As usual, the (national) socialists project their own crimes onto others.
