The Liberal Party USA has announced its first national endorsements of the 2026 election cycle, backing several candidates ahead of the November general election and publicizing a number of endorsements made by its Nebraska affiliate.
The party shared both sets of endorsements over social media beginning Monday, October 26. According to details previously shared with Independent Political Report, national leadership met earlier in October to select its candidates and discuss future growth plans. None of the candidates endorsed by either the national organization or its Nebraska affiliate is appearing under the Liberal Party label.
The national party’s endorsements include Timothy “TJ” Ferreira for Clark County treasurer in Nevada and Austin Cassidy for Delaware state auditor. Ferreira, whom the Liberal Party previously identified as its executive director, earned the support of the Libertarian Party of Nevada earlier this year and will appear on its ballot line, while Cassidy was nominated by the state’s Independent Party, becoming its only statewide nominee this election cycle.
In Ohio, the party is supporting Timothy Grady and his running mate, Andrea Neutzling, who are running for governor and lieutenant governor as certified write-in candidates.
The two initially sought ballot access as independents but fell short of the 5,000 valid signatures required to appear on the ballot. Their ticket has also received support from the United States Pirate Party and United States Transhumanist Party, which have been backing similar candidates as part of an ongoing coalition effort.
In Nebraska, meanwhile, the party’s state affiliate is backing independent U.S. Senate candidate Dan Osborn and former state Sen. Bob Krist, the America First Party nominee for secretary of state.
Osborn, whose 2024 campaign set a state record for votes received by an independent U.S. Senate candidate, has also received support from several other political parties this year, including the Nebraska Democratic Party and national Reform Party.
The affiliate’s remaining endorsements went to two candidates running for the same seat. The party is backing Macey Budke of the Nebraska Working People Party and independent Mark Cohen, both of whom are challenging Republican U.S. Rep. Adrian Smith in Nebraska’s 3rd Congressional District.
