Do you have a blog?

If you’re a reader of Independent Political Report and you have a blog in which you talk about third parties or independents, then please let us know in the comments of this post!  I am hoping to expand our list of “Readers’ Blogs,” thanks to a complaint by d.eris.  Hopefully once we get a more complete list, our blogroll can function as a list of the most essential blogs in the third party blogosphere, and the third party blogosphere will be a bit more united.  If you’re a Green, Libertarian, Whig, independent, or anything else – we want to know about your blog!

    West Coast Free Speech:

Saturday, October 24 is the date. The place is Southwestern Law School’s Biederman Entertainment and Media Law Institute in Los Angeles. The event is FAC’s annual Free Speech and Open Government Assembly, jointly sponsored by the Coalition, the Biederman Institute and the McCormick Foundation.

For our colleagues in the ethnic media, some sessions will be conducted in Spanish and Vietnamese, as well as English.

The program includes panel discussions on topics ranging from journalists’ use of social media for reporting, to new online tools to track the influence of money on legislation, to journalism training sessions on how to get sophisticated, insider news stories (and avoid being “spun” by government officials on one hand, or union officials on the other) about: local police and the criminal justice system; public school financing and the ranking of schools and teachers; salaries and pensions of government employees; and much more.

    You’ll hear our featured speakers:
–2009 Pulitzer Prize winner (“public interest” category) and Wall Street Journal reporter Alexandra Berzon (in a conversation with LA Times media columnist James Rainey)
–Alex Jones, author of the just-released “Losing the News” and Director of Harvard University’s Shorenstein Center on the Press, Politics and Public Policy.

Enjoy debates among our expert panelists, including: Dan Gillmor, Director, Knight Center for Digital Media Entrepreneurship; Geneva Overholser, Director of the USC Annenberg School of Journalism; Claudia Nuñez, La Opinion; Evan Hansen, Editor-in-Chief, Wired.com; Neil Budde, President, DailyMe; Ricardo Sandoval, Sacramento Bee; Mary Perry, EdSource; Kathryn Baron, Fellow, UC Berkeley; and LA Times reporters Mitchell Landsberg and Matt Lait. Check out the full program,

I thought I already added The Thirds to the blogroll. I guess I forgot.

George – just post it in the comments.

    R. Swanson – the link in your comment didn’t work.

    Thanks everyone! Keep ’em coming.

I operate the California Libertarian Alliance blog @ http://calibertarianalliance.com/

Mostly commentary on current issues from a libertarian perspective, including regular items linked from lp.org

I’d like to put a recommendation in for The Whig at http://www.whigblog.com.

It’s not mine but I know the creators of that blog do read IPR and link to it. They focus on all issues from a Modern Whig perspective, to include coverage of third party and independent information

    You’re welcome to check out…

    http://www.libertarian-international.org

It’s not party per se but reports key matters of interest and itself links to many interesting sites. It addresses the needs of senior Libertarian and Lib-friendly activists working with us. We’re slowly adding historical stuff as well, and will link to a series of international blogs of opinion in due course.

I personally have set up some blogs with hundreds of pre-written articles (I’m in my 80’s, so people will be hearing from me in the grave) on Lib movement “inside baseball” and will share those soon as I post something.

    Sure

In fact this site has about 50 members and we post all sorts of stuff, including exposing the one corporate party and it’s two wings.

Cool. Good idea Ross, it was more an off the cuff remark though 😉 . . . Maybe this would be better in a separate post every once in a while, but it’d also be interesting to see a thread on what other third party and indy blogs IPR readers are reading lately. Since Poli-Tea is already in the blogroll, I’ll mention The Thirds. They’ve been all over the NJ Gov’s race and the special election in NY’s 23rd recently.

  8. Robert Milnes October 15, 2009

I need some help with my blog-Bob’s Blog.Would discuss third parties & independents.
