Libertarian candidate for Lieutenant Governor Dan Barber asks, “Where’s the press coverage of the recent Open Records Requests made to incumbent Lieutenant Governor Republican Casey Cagle?” On October 18, two such requests were submitted to the Lieutenant Governor’s office by Zaid Jilani. Both documents appear to refer to a recent incident involving an unnamed woman (whose name was redacted from the letters) that occurred in Cagle’s office.
Dan asks, “These documents were requested ten days ago. My question is, what’s happened since then, and where’s the media coverage?”
Barber continues, “Georgia deserves more from our elected officials than Cagle’s crony capitalism. Georgia deserves a free market and a regulatory system designed to attract business, not drive it offshore.”
Dan will debate these points and others with Cagle and Democrat Carol Porter during the Atlanta Press Club Debates on GPB Sunday night at 7:00.
