An article involving Tyler Smith, counsel for the Reeves group in the Oregon LP lawsuit, is discussed in this article about the Oregon Republican Party.
Here is the article: Oregon Republican Party Must Conform to State Law
There is a rebuttal posted as a hyperlink in the article: Tyler Smith’s rebuttal .
Even though the article doesn’t directly discuss third parties, I believe it relates to the Oregon Libertarian Party and the dispute we’ve been following here on Independent Political Report.

For why some people think there is a conflict.
I’m not sure I really see the issue.
The “Reeves faction” hired a lawyer who was also hired by the Republican party in a political dispute.
So what?
He is hired as an attorney not to give political ideology.
What is the conflict?
Suppressing Ron Paul grassroots in the GOP and left/radical libertarians in the LP? Sounds more like a confluence of interest if anything.
Steve M @ 3,
“Tyler Smith is the Oregon Republican Party Council and is representing the Reeves factions attempt to gain control of the Oregon Libertarian Party. This sounds like a conflict of interest to me.”
I guess that depends on what the interest is.
It looks like Tyler Smith’s father is Oregon Republican Party Vice-Chairman Tim Smith.

Tyler Smith representing the Republican Party is using an email from ruralbusinessattorneys.com and Tyler Smith Repenting the Reeves faction is using a physical address of 181 N. Grant Street, Camby Oregon which is the same address as the web page for ruralbusinessattorneys.com.
I think it’s a conflict of interest, also. I can’t imagine how this was allowed to happen. Is Mr. Smith a bargain attorney, whose rates were too cheap to ignore? There must be some compelling reason he was hired by the Reeves group, but I think it just makes them look more incompetant.
Tyler Smith is the Oregon Republican Party Council and is representing the Reeves factions attempt to gain control of the Oregon Libertarian Party. This sounds like a conflict of interest to me.
Suppose, the Reeves faction were to win control and then the Oregon Libertarian Party and the Oregon Republican Party were to get into a dispute over whether Johnson could be on the ballot.
Tyler Smith if he is the same individual might very likely have had access to privileged Libertarian and Privileged Republican information.
It wasn’t really talked about, AH, but I’m sure the situation had to do with minimizing Ron Paul supporters.
One way or another, it’s gotta be Romney?
