Rocky Anderson Nominated by the Independent Party of Connecticut

Rocky Anderson has been nominated by the Independent Party of Connecticut for President. This party last nominated a presidential candidate in 2008, receiving over 1% of the votes for Ralph Nader, which helped them to retain their ballot access for 2012. The party apparently desired a nationwide candidate for president to be on their ballot line in an effort to keep ballot access.

The Connecticut for Lieberman Party does not have ballot status for the office of President, and therefore nominated no one.

@7… I used to live in El Paso. Lots of women waded across the river to have their babies at Thomasson General Hospital (the county hospital). Those babies were born US citizens regardless of the nationality of the parents.

@3 That’s nonsense. Rodriguez was born in El Paso, Texas and is a natural Mexican citizen. His parents were Mexican.

The Minnesota SOS office just accepted the 3000 + signatures. He is on the ballot in Minnesota as well.

I’m always glad to see more voting choices, and I support Mr. Anderson’s attempt to present an independent progressive challenge to the establishment. But I am unclear abt what is supposed to happen after November? I can’t find any talk abt building a new political party?

To #2, that’s nonsense. Rodriguez was born in El Paso, Texas and is an American citizen. It’s his parents who came from Mexico.

Also note that the Independent Party of Connecticut has nominated the natural Mexican citizen Luis J. Rodriguez for Vice-President. The Independent Party should be shamed for this treasonous act.

Hooray. Rocky Anderson is the only candidate who talks the talk and walks the walk. I am thrilled to be able to finally get to vote for the person I want instead of settling for the lesser of two evils:-)
