Dear Loyal Outright Supporter,
Another friendly update from the ONLY queer rights organization fighting for capital “L” liberation!! We are rational, consistent and realistic in our demand to be liberated to the fullest extent Constitutionally possible (at the very least!), and we’re excited to have you with us. If you’re receiving this for the first time, we have migrated away from the old Yahoo lists and so we consolidated those subscriptions into our mail list. If you unsubscribe, we understand!! But we hope you’ll stick around.
Speaking of that migration, please note that our state chapters are now on Facebook. We are up to about 20 at the moment, and you can find them listed here. If you don’t see yours, we just need to hear from you!! We don’t create them until we have a local “seed person”, but some of the early chapters have already grown to nearly 40 members. It only takes one person to get the ball rolling, so email us to get started today.
We hope to have all 50 states by the end of 2014, but that’s not all we’re doing. Recently, Outright Texas won a major victory when they succeeded in pushing for the resignation of Doc Greene for his homo- and transphobic comments made as the Vice Chair of his local affiliate. While we uphold freedom of speech, we must hold party leaders to a higher standard. Trigger warning, this hit piece is horrifying, but we take it as a sign of success. You know you’re doing a good job when the haters start to scream!
Meanwhile, Outright Arizona has been standing with Monica Jones at her trial for manifestation, and planning a documentary screening and art show. And if that’s not enough, on Friday, April 25th, the notorious Adam Kokesh will be appearing on our podcast to talk about his recent video entitled “Why Gays Should be Libertarian”. He may not have heard how many of us already are, so tune in to witness his moment of discovery. Until then, you might enjoy watching Adam vs. The Man’s in-depth interview with Lt. Dan Choi.
