The Illinois Libertarian Party submitted 43,291 signatures to the State Board of Elections on Monday, virtually ensuring that the party’s eight candidates will appear on the ballot this November.
A non-recognized party must collect at least 25,000 valid signatures of registered voters within a 90-day period, usually starting in late March and ending in late June.
A non-recognized party must also submit a slate of statewide candidates for the general election at the time the petitions are turned in.
The candidates running this November are:
•Sharon Hansen — U.S. Senate
•Chad Grimm — Governor
•Alex Cummings — Lt. Governor
•Ben Koyl – Attorney General
•Julie Fox — Comptroller
•Chris Michel — Secretary of State
•Matthew Skopek — Treasurer
•Jonathan Parker — State House of Representatives, District 37
There is a five-day challenge period. If nobody challenges the petitions, then the candidates will be placed on the ballot. If the petitions are challenged, hearing dates will be set by the Division of Elections to determine the validity of the signatures.

Hopefully challenge-proof.
Congratulations to the Illionois Libertarians!
