Greg SeltzerAs reported in the latest issue of the National Prohibitionist, Prohibition Party Chairman Greg Seltzer has resigned his post upon being appointed by Gov. Larry Hogan to the Maryland Elections Board, a nonpartisan government post. National Prohibitionist reports: “As a member of the Elections Board, Rev. Seltzer is in a position to influence Maryland election rules toward easier access to third parties. We wish him well!” Seltzer previously served on the board from 2002 to 2006.
Seltzer has also ended his campaign for the party’s presidential nomination. James Hedges, who Seltzer had chosen as his preferred running mate, is now seeking the party’s presidential nomination. Hedges, a former Prohibition Party elected official from Pennsylvania, sought the party’s nomination in 2012, but lost to Jack Fellure.
