Abandon Biden Campaign Announces Continued Opposition into General Election

The Abandon Biden Campaign announced last week that it will continue to oppose President Joe Biden into November. The campaign was influential in rallying support for the uncommitted option during the Democratic primary season.

In a press release last Thursday, the campaign reiterated its commitment to oppose Biden in the general election, criticizing his support of Israeli actions in Gaza and condemning his policies as “diplomacy theater.” They specifically highlighted Biden’s failure to enforce meaningful “redlines,” which they argue enables ongoing violence. A full copy of the press release is available here.

“We will not stand by,” the organization stated. “We are mobilized, we are furious, and we are committed to ensuring Joe Biden is defeated in the general election. The time for accountability is now.”

Notably, the campaign does not clarify how it intends for its supporters to oppose Biden in the general election, nor does it mention any specific alternative candidates.

The Abandon Biden Campaign was initially launched in response to President Biden’s refusal to call for a ceasefire in Gaza by the end of October 2023. That November, the campaign rallied to oppose Biden’s 2024 reelection bid, urging supporters to unify behind the uncommitted option in the Democratic primary where available to hold Biden accountable. According to the Green Papers, various unpledged, uncommitted, and other intentional efforts to blank the ballot against Biden have garnered enough total support to earn over half a million votes and 31 delegates at the Democratic National Convention.

The campaign has also said it plans to hold virtual town halls featuring presidential candidates sympathetic to its cause, including Green candidate Jill Stein, Party for Socialism and Liberation nominee Claudia De La Cruz, and independent Cornel West.

Are they delusional enough to believe e.g. Jill Stein or Cornell West will be taking the oath of office, or are they fully aware that ensuring Biden is defeated means Trump will be taking that oath? Clearly, that doesn’t bother them as much as Biden doing so. I also prefer Trump to Biden, and would love to see both lose, but that’s not going to happen. However, my goals are way different than theirs on just about any issue. Oh well , if we can all come together on getting rid of Biden. That’s at least one thing.

Biden is bringing America together…in wanting him gone, LOL

No, far more spectacular than the Libertarian Party eating itself. For example, “we are committed to ensuring Joe Biden is defeated in the general election” – i.e., these antisemitic socialists are so furious that their fellow antisemitic socialist Biden isn’t sufficiently antisemitic, that they are “committed to ensuring” Trump, the man whose only lasting notable achievement was moving the US embassy to Jerusalem, gets elected instead… Meanwhile, their 2SLGBTQIIABCDLMNOP+ stormtroopers are threatening each other with bike locks, molotov cocktails, sledgehammers and baseball bats with nails sticking in them, as is their wont.

Like the Libertarians eating their own, Nuña?

This is like the (slightly) less disorganized version of “Queers for Palestine” tying to block “Gay Pride Parades”. Grab your popcorn and watch the left eat its own.

Stein, West, de la Cruz scheduled to speak among candidates.

(Side note: SPUSA candidate Bill Stodden is like Mr. Invisible on the left this year.)

A nothingburger until they specify a focus of their abandonment options.
