President Donald Trump tweeted yesterday about Independent Congressman Justin Amash’s announcement that he would launch an exploratory committee to determine whether to seek the Libertarian Party’s 2020 presidential nomination.
In response to Never Trumper Rick Wilson’s Tweet linking to former Congressman Joe Walsh’s Washington Posteditorial arguing Amash’s candidacy would help Trump win re-election, the President wrote:
No, I think Amash would make a wonderful candidate, especially since he is way behind in his district and has no chance of maintaining his Congressional seat.
