Chris Bennett to run for Boston Tea Party VP nomination

According to Boston Tea Party chairman Jim Davidson, Chris Bennett will be vying for the party’s vice-presidential nomination at its upcoming online nominating convention, June 15. He joins two others competing for the party’s #2 position, Thomas Knapp and Todd Andrew Barrett. The presidential contest, for the moment at least, is a one-on-one match-up between Charles Jay and Robert Milnes.

Bennett, it should be noted, was originally a candidate for the Libertarian Party’s vice-presidential nomination, but dropped out before the Denver convention. He was also interested in replacing Shane Cory as the LP’s executive director.
