Socialist Workers Party ticket on ballot in 10 states

In its newspaper The Militant, the Socialist Workers Party says it has “succeeded in putting the presidential ticket of Roger Calero and his running mate Alyson Kennedy on the ballot in 10 states” with its recent certification in New York and Vermont. The article is not entirely accurate, however, since in some states a substitute presidential candidate has been listed due to Calero’s constitutional ineligibility to serve as president. Calero was born outside the United States.

Some version of the SWP ticket is on the ballot in the two states noted above, as well as Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Iowa, Louisiana, Minnesota, New Jersey, and Washington State.

A Senate resolution isn’t binding law, of course.

And there’s evidence building up Obama was born in Kenya and may not be an American citizen at all, much less natural-born.

It would be nice if the LP kicked it up a notch from the Texas lawsuit and sought to have these clowns thrown off the ballot nationwide.

McCain was born in the U.S. controlled Panama zone. The Senate passed a resolution stating that counts as being a naturalized citizen. Most of the legal opinions written on it seem to be in McCain’s favor. So, no, he won’t have a substitute.

Róger Calero was born in Nicaragua, which being free from U.S. imperialism, means he isn’t allowed to be president.

Will McCain have a substitute in those states, too?
