Libertopia is an annual festival of peace, freedom, music, community and ideas that will change the World…. and you are invited!
It is a unique experience…a 3 day celebration of our individuality and diversity packed with renowned speakers, workshops, panels, parties, banquets, music, film, art, literature, commerce, exhibitors, themed camps, performers, social networking and much more!
Check out the speakers list .
Over 50 of them, from master of ceremonies Stephan Molyneux and Foster Gamble host of Thrive movie to Doug Casey and David Freidman, Libertopia Sovereign Award winners.
It’s more than a conference…more than a festival…it’s our future! Why? It leaves behind the least attractive aspects of conference and festivals while encouraging a big participatory element. Libertopia also is more than “libertarian.” It’s voluntaryist to the core – bypassing and transcending politics completely. A Galt’s Gulch. It is not about politics, it’s a model for us and a starting-point for a society of the future. It’s a kernel of something we’ll need more of very soon – especially as we watch coercive institutions begin to implode one by one.
We know times are tough for everyone so Libertopia and the California Libertarian party have arranged a special deal for you to get to Libertopia this year. The weekend festival, (Thursday thru Sunday), is $300 at the door but because you are a member of the CA LP, you can get your ticket for only $75.
Libertopia has also arranged a discount for rooms at Humphrey’s Half Moon Inn and Suites .
If you get creative you can sleep up to 4 people.
So hold your calendars open for Libertopia on the weekend of October 11 through 14 at Humphrey’s Half Moon Inn and Suites and purchase your ticket today.

Thanks, Mark. We will have a table there to sign up people, you can be sure of that.
Jill Pyeatt,
The number the LP needs is 103,004 electors in
California the number the LP has now is 93,657.
My suggestion is have a booth at this San Diego
event this October and sign up electors.
Sincerely, Mark Seidenberg, Vice Chairman,
American Independent Party of California
I think that the top-two issue in CA is very urgent, because if we can’t increase our membership by more than 10 %, the LP CA will cease to exist, I’m told. I’m not sure what you mean about the ballot issue being the main issue, because the two problems are so closely related.
I don’t know why the special price hasn’t been extended to others. I really just reported on this.
Jill Pyeatt
Why limit the special price to just LP members?
Why not extend the special price to both libetarians in the Liberty Caucus of the GOP
and libertarians in the American Independent
Party of California?
I have heard three of those speakers before. In fact, I went to college with Dr. Sharon Presley circa 45 years ago.
I to see the ballot issue as a problem for the LP.
But why do you see it as your main issue? I know the LP in California is down nearly 10 thousand elects. The proplem I see for the
LP and for the other 3rd parties is the top two ballots.
Sincerely, Mark Seidenberg, Vice Chairman,
Ameriican Independent Party
This special price has been extended until September 15.
Starr, however, since he hasn’t been chair of the state for at least three years
Not since 2007
WW @ 11: Well put!
I’m hopeful that some of the new At-Large reps can make a positive difference. That’s why I was so concerned they hadn’t had any meetings. Working through email has some inherent failings, and I think the dynamic of the group getting together is important. I’m glad they had a meeting last weekend, and I hope to see positive changes.
JP @9
Starr tilled the soil and fertilized it so that things could take Root. 😉
The CA Ex Com held their first meeting this past weekend in Sacramento, almost six months after the new Ex Com was elected early March. I just asked Alan, and he said that ballot access was the most important issue of the day. They discussed membership drives. I’m glad they’re starting to do something.
WW @ 8: The leadership in CA is sorely lacking, in my humble opinion. Frankly, I’ve given up on my state. I’ll continue as my local regional chair because that’s working at this time (I believe the Pasadena/Glendale region is the largest region in Los Angeles County, which is the largest county affiliate the LP has). It’s hard for me to blame Starr, however, since he hasn’t been chair of the state for at least three years and doesn’t seem to be very popular. I believe it’s Wayne Root’s impact. It was quite obvious at the last convention that the state had become quite Rootified. His ideas are being used as a model.
As with the national party, I have yet to see Root’s ideas translate into new party members or new donors.
Is the irony that California is facing potential loss of ballot access while at the same time is ground zero of the Starr cabal lost in all of this?
More like an epic fail in the works…
Yes, that’s true.
But that can still be prevented. We have the people who can get the regs and I will be talking to some fundraisers so we can afford to do it.

@3 Shhhh….that’s supposed to be a secret (<= not really)
Doesn’t California have some voter registration goals to make?
I’m told the special price expires September 1.
This should be a great event!
