Of course it does. It has been doing so for decades, the most well known was the manipulation of the unemployment rate, and changing the criteria in order to weed out large groups of people not working.
The question, Where do we go from here, when answered, will generate some real news for third parties everywhere.
From my perspective, I would like to see an independent audit of the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The LIES have got to stop!
