The Libertarian Party of Wisconsin met for the 2015 Convention on Sat. April 25, at the Olympia Resort & Hotel in Oconomowoc, WI. The morning business meeting was focused on the election of new officers and a new state executive committee, followed by the convention’s guest speakers in the afternoon.
Joseph Kexel, the party’s 2012 nominee for U.S. Senate, was elected as Party Chair. He will be joined by Dean Troy as Vice-Chair, Andy Craig as Secretary, and Jon Augelli as Treasurer. Paul Ehlers now holds the position of immediate Past Chair. Stephen Nass and Kay Hagerty were elected for the two at-large representative positions.
Jim Sewell, Terry Gray, Candice Wirkus, Ken Morgan, Jeff Kortsch, Richard Martin, Jr., and Robert Burke were selected as representatives for their respective congressional district caucuses. George Meyers, Peter Augelli, Scott Kenneth Noble, Diane Mielke, Leroy Watson, Gus Fahrendorf, and Nathan Gall were chosen as their alternates.
After lunch, the convention had a lively series of presentations and discussions with Terry Brown of School Choice Wisconsin, Isaac Orr of the Heartland Institute, Professor Yuri Maltsev of Carthage College, congressional candidate Andy Craig, and Keynote Speaker Dr. Marc Allan Feldman, who is seeking the nomination of the Libertarian Party for President of the United States.

I forgot to stipulate declared candidates; my bad.
Johnson and Gray seem to be keeping up their fairly regular schedule of speaking at state conventions. Johnson will be at Washington later this month, and Gray was in Colorado.
Of course, neither Johnson nor Gray are actual candidates as of now, so I think it’s safe to say that Feldman is the only declared 2016 candidate who’s doing state conventions as a featured speaker so far. Open to correction, of course, but if any of the others have I haven’t seen it either. If any of them have have attended any state conventions, it doesn’t seem to be in any capacity that those parties thought worth mentioning or promoting.
Thanks! You can post that as a separate article too, or I may, later.
BTW,
on a semi-related note:
(many more that haven’t happened yet including one this weekend in Ohio)
How many, if any, of these has he been at so far?
Was Kerbel at the one in Colorado?
Any other presidential nomination contenders besides Feldman make it to any state conventions yet this year, and if so, which ones and which states? I’m not counting Perry in NH for the purpose of this question, since he was there in a different capacity.

Very nice!

I meant on the exec comm, but I’m glad to hear you weren’t they youngest person at the whole convention and the rest of that 🙂
I wasn’t the youngest person in attendance, but on the excom yes. Not by much though, Peter Augelli is only a few months older than I am, and he was elected as 2nd District alternate. I’m not sure how old his brother Jon is, but not that much older I think. This group definitely has more younger people in it than the outgoing board, which suffered from having a lot of burned-out older members who were ready to step aside. So the high turnout and lowering of the average age was something our outgoing chair, Paul Ehlers, was very pleased with.
Are you the youngest one there?
