Former WCCO Radio host Cory Hepola is launching a run for governor of Minnesota with the Forward Party label. Minnesota’s Forward Party is the first state affiliate of Andrew Yang’s nascent effort to launch a national political party.
“This is a call. We hear you, Minnesota. You’re tired, you’re frustrated, you’re exhausted,” Hepola said at a kick-off press conference. “This broken, toxic two-party system that is pushing forward negative, hateful, not only speech but inactivity. There’s no collaboration. There’s no compromise. We deserve better Minnesota. And that’s what we’re going to give.”
“I look at it this way: Successful businesses today position themselves as what? Socially progressive, financially thoughtful,” Hepola said. “That would be a good way to phrase what we’re about.”

The two major parties are cable. Big business, big money machines.
We’re Netflix. The disrupter.
We’re not a spoiler, we’re the change that Minnesota has been longing for. Change and unity takes courage. #CoryforMN #WeDeserveBetter pic.twitter.com/XJBASnHmUP
