Idaho Dispute Reaches LNC!

As seen previously in Massachusetts, Delaware, and New Mexico, and decades back in Arizona and Oregon, the LNC is being encouraged to involve itself in the internal affairs of a state party.

On Thursday, August 11, the LNC will have a special meeting to discuss issues surrounding the Libertarian Party of Idado. The meeting will be conducted electronically at 8 PM Eastern Time.  Independent Political Report will cover the meeting, perhaps by live-blogging.  To watch the meeting, you have to register in advance at:

The Libertarian Party of Idaho has two factions, chaired respectively by Jennifer Imhoff-Dousharm and by Jayson Sorensen.

The officers of the Imhoff-Dousharm faction are Jennifer Imhoff-Dousharm (Chair), Aaron Mason (Vice Chair), Robert Imhoff-Dousharm (Acting Treasurer), and Dan Karlan (Secretary).

The Sorensen faction enjoys the support of LNC Members Caryn Ann Harlos and Joshua Smith. That faction has recently used its interpretation of Idaho party bylaws to expel Robert and Jennifer Imhoff-Dousharm from the Idaho Party. The expulsion was carried out via a petition to the Idaho LP Judicial Committee, as filed by “Todd Corsetti on behalf of the State Central Committee of the Libertarian Party of Idaho”.
