Art Olivier should be considered to be a top contender for the nomination. He was elected to the city council, and then as Mayor, of Bellflower, California, which is a mid sized city in Los Angeles County, back in the 1990’s and the did this as a Libertarian (all city and county offices are officially non-partisan, but he was a dues paying member of the Libertarian Party and was registered to vote as a Libertarian and he made no secret about it). He was Harry Browne’s vice presidential running mate in 2000, and he was the Libertarian Party’s candidate for Governor of California in 2006.
It is too bad that he did not start running earlier or have more momentum behind his campaign.

Some of them will also be speaking that morning at the LPVA Convention in Charlottesville as well.

I think that “Olivier” is the correct spelling of Art’s last name. I am glad to see that he is a candidate.
