No Labels is considering Republican former Georgia Lieutenant Governor Geoff Duncan as a potential candidate to top its unity ticket, according to a news report from the Wall Street Journal on Friday. The report cites people “familiar with discussions.”
Duncan served as Georgia’s lieutenant governor from 2018 to 2022. Before that, he served three terms in the Georgia state legislature, having been first elected in 2012. As a member of the Republican Party, Duncan has been critical of former President Donald Trump.

Approximately 800 delegates from No Labels convened remotely on Friday to discuss the next steps for the organization. While the specific topics discussed at the private gathering remain undisclosed, an earlier report in the week suggested that the organization planned to move forward with outlining a candidate selection process regardless. No Labels is anticipated to announce that process later next week.
It doesn’t sound like Duncan even has any actual interest, this is just NL flailing about trying to pretend it isn’t over by leaking the fact that he even returned their call.
