Natural Law Party to Hold Virtual Presidential Nominating Convention

The Natural Law Party of the United States, which reorganized with the Federal Election Commission as a national party committee this past year, will host a virtual convention in July to nominate its presidential candidate for the 2024 election.

According to an email sent to Independent Political Report by Natural Law Party Chair Joseph Wendt, the party will hold its presidential nominating convention on July 21. A Facebook page advertising the event lists the convention as starting at 3:00 PM EST that afternoon. The convention will take place online, but details about the specific platform to be used and how to register to attend are not yet available.

Independent Political Report will update this article with additional information as it becomes available.

Information maintained by the Federal Election Commission shows that Wendt initially submitted paperwork to reconstitute the Natural Law Party of the United States in December of last year. An amendment submitted in March indicates that the party then changed its treasurer and custodian of records. However, documentation from the FEC in April shows that the party under those individuals did not file a required quarterly report. Wendt has since filed an amendment listing himself as the party’s most recent treasurer and custodian of records as of June, which is currently reflected on the FEC website as of this article.

In addition to the Natural Law Party, Wendt is the chair of the party’s Florida state affiliate, which regained its minor party status in April. As a result, the Natural Law Party will also regain ballot access in the state.

Earlier this month, it was revealed in a Bulwark article that the Kennedy campaign initially approached Wendt about reorganizing the Natural Law Party and its Florida state affiliate as a way to circumvent difficult ballot access laws. However, Wendt ultimately chose not to hand control of the Florida affiliate over to the Kennedy campaign after expressing concerns that it would treat the party as a disposable tool. Readers can learn more about the Bulwark interview here.

In April, the Natural Law Party of Michigan nominated independent Robert F. Kennedy Jr., but it is not yet known how or if this will be affected by the national organization’s convention.

Editorial note: An earlier version of this article incorrectly listed the convention as that of the Natural Law Party of Florida. That has since been corrected to reflect the convention is that of the national organization.

No. Because even without milk cornflakes are still nutritious and if frosted, glazed or otherwise flavored also delicious. The same cannot be said for the Natural Law Party or its conventions.

Yes, except the milk evaporated back in 2000-1 or so, or maybe levitated away during transcendental medication.

Is it true that the only difference between the Natural Law Party Convention and a bowl of corn flakes is the latter has milk?

  4. Joe Wendt June 24, 2024

We do have bigger plans, which will be discussed at the convention.

With regards to the Kennedy campaign and Michigan, that will also be discussed

Joe Wendt, I think most commenters here only know of the drama between you and the Kennedy campaign through the recent reporting on IPR. Besides answering Jordan’s question, please do let us know if you have any bigger plans for the revived NLP-US. Longtime third-partisans miss you guys ?

Hi Joe, thank you for the correction. My apologies for listing it as just the Florida party.

Question for you regarding the Natural Law Party of Michigan. Back in April, the Kennedy campaign announced that it had secured the presidential nomination of the Natural Law Party of Michigan, which has since been reported on by several outlets as a source of ballot access for the campaign. Am I correct in assuming that the Michigan party is not associated with the national organization under your leadership and operates independently?

Correction: the Natural Law Party of the United States convention.

They should run Gwyneth Paltrow, she’s into all that Transcendental Meditation snake-oil cultism.

Will they go West? Is he already on in Florida? DeLaCruz?
