Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Donald Trump Reportedly Discussed Possible Endorsement and Future Administration Role

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. reportedly engaged in discussions with former President Donald Trump about the possibility of Kennedy endorsing Trump’s campaign, as well as potentially taking a senior role within a second Trump administration.

According to The Washington Post, the conversations began following the attempted assassination of Trump at a campaign rally earlier this month. An individual who knew both Trump and Kennedy is said to have contacted Kennedy that night, with Kennedy expressing his openness to talking to Trump at some point during the conversation. Kennedy was then added to a group chat that included Tucker Carlson and a number described as being used by Trump. The two candidates eventually spoke over the phone and later met in person at the Republican National Convention.

The Post references several anonymous sources throughout the article familiar with the matter who claim that the discussions included the possibility of Kennedy leaving the presidential race and endorsing Trump. The two are said to have also discussed potential jobs that Kennedy could be given in a second Trump administration at either a Cabinet level or positions that did not require Senate confirmation, particularly as they related to overseeing health and medical issues. Ultimately, the conversations ended without a definitive agreement between the two camps, with some Trump advisors raising concerns about the potential complications of offering a job in exchange for political support.

Kennedy stated earlier this week that he is open to speaking with anyone, regardless of party affiliation, who wants to discuss children’s health and “how to end the chronic disease epidemic.” He also confirmed that he is continuing his presidential campaign.

    Below, surely? LOL

I don’t seem RFK dropping out, nor endorsing Trump. Accepting a position in his cabinet, maybe. But not as a quid pro quo. Trump doesn’t need Kennedy’s endorsement, and it would only damage Kennedy. Much better to just appoint him as (Under) Secretary of Health and Human Services, or put him in charge of (dismantling) the NIH, CDC or FDA, without asking anything in return.

The Washington Post is not a reliable source. It’s one step above The Babylon Bee in terms of accuracy.

    Sounds like a bribe.
