United States Pirate Party Tests New Weekly Podcast

The United States Pirate Party is testing a new weekly podcast exploring the philosophy behind the Pirate movement and various topics related to the party. The show, titled Talk the Plank, will air until January to allow the party to gauge viewer interest.

“Talk the Plank is here! The US Pirate Party is testing a podcast until January 1st to see how it is received.” stated the national party in a release produced by the California Pirate Party. “Our first episode is up on YouTube! You can subscribe to the podcast either on YouTube or on Facebook. If we decide to continue past January 1st, we will add other sources.”

The podcast is a cooperative effort between the United States Pirate Party and the California Pirate Party. To date, three episodes have been published since it was started earlier this month, with three more scheduled for late November and into December. Episodes are streamed live every Friday at 8:00 PM EDT and are currently available on the party’s YouTube channel. Plans are also underway to expand to other platforms in the future.

Upcoming topics for the next three episodes include a post-election and pre-Festivus “airing of grievances” with Vermin Supreme, the party’s endorsed presidential candidate for the 2024 election cycle. Other highlights include a conversation with Taylor Lorenz, an independent journalist and host of the Power User podcast on Vox, and a Friday the 13th episode featuring members of the Transhumanist Party. Specific agenda topics have not yet been provided.

A pirate pilot. Every ship needs a pilot, and a pirate ship needs a good ones.

“The show, titled Talk the Plank”
    Corny. I love it.

“a post-election and pre-Festivus ‘airing of grievances’ with Vermin Supreme”
Silly – though based on Supreme’s prior “comedy”, not in the sense of funny. But go for it.

“a conversation with Taylor Lorenz, an independent journalist and host of the Power User podcast on Vox”
U+1F92E Neither independent nor journalist. Merely a violent communist activist which doxes and defames people, then gets its uncle to pull some strings at the Internet Archive to delete and falsify archived webpages in the Wayback Machine whenever there is any threat that its crimes could actually get investigated.

“Friday the 13th episode featuring members of the Transhumanist Party”
No need to bother with further self-harm, you already lost all “viewer interest” by giving Taylor Lorenz a soapbox from which to dox people and spew defamation in its usual “charming” fashion.
