The Constitution Party of New Hampshire will host Midwest States Chair Paul Venable this Thursday for a virtual discussion on the history of the Constitution Party and one of its original founders and presidential nominees, Howard Phillips.
According to details shared by the party online, Venable will speak to participants on July 24 over Zoom. He currently serves as the Midwest States Chair for the national Constitution Party, representing nearly a dozen states since his appointment at the party’s Spring 2023 National Committee meeting. Venable is also the current chair of the Constitution Party of Missouri and previously chaired the Constitution Party of Idaho.
Venable will give a presentation on Howard Phillips, who founded the Constitution Party in 1992 when it was originally named the U.S. Taxpayers Party. Phillips later served as the party’s presidential nominee in the 1992 and 1996 election cycles, and again in 2000, following the party’s rebranding as the Constitution Party. The presentation will also cover the broader history of the party and the reasoning behind its formation.
“If you know any of the State Officers, you may recall they all returned inspired and motivated by then MO Chairman, Paul Venable, as he welcomed the National Committee members to the Spring meeting in 2023,” the party stated. “His speech ‘Dare to be American’, lit a fire within the NH team and it is still going strong today.”
