A Suffolk University/WSVN-7News Miami poll on the presidential race in Florida included this question: “There are 14 candidates for president on the Florida ballot. Of these, the major five candidates are: Republican John McCain, Democrat Barack Obama, Libertarian Bob Barr, Green Party Cynthia McKinney, and Ecology Party Ralph Nader. At this point, for whom will you vote?” Obama polled 44%, McCain 39%, Barr 2%, McKinney 1%, and Nader 1%.

According to BAN, McKinney will be on the ballot in front of ~70% of voters and Baldwin will be on the ballot in front of ~60% of voters.
CA, NY, TX, PA, or NC.
Baldwin isn’t on in CA, NY, or TX — that’s a LOT of voters’ ballots.
kalipay – I’ve got to agree with you. Baldwin is on more state ballots than McKinney, so he should be included. But I guess, like inDglass is saying, it’s mostly name recognition.
But I don’t think there’s some kind of media conspiracy to ignore him.
The polls include the former Republican, occasionally the former Democrat, and the independent who is running for the third time and has the best ballot access. Baldwin is not a career politician and not tied to the two major parties. He also opposes nearly everything that the establishment stands for. Baldwin’s ideas are a threat, while his weak campaign and poor ballot access give the media an excuse to ignore him.
Why oh why oh why isn’t Baldwin ever included? For crying out loud, Florida is his home state!!! Seriously, you all: is McKinney going to get more votes than he is? If she is, then fine, I understand the least-possible candidate wouldn’t be polled. But if he isn’t……
Let’s not forget that Nader is at 3% in Florida according to CNN.
I have to admit the articles are gettingbetter in as far as they are not as vindictive anymore and more onbjective which serves the American people well who search for unbiased news stories of Third Parties.
I know the webmaster hates Barr and so I thank him for trying not to mix the two.
Here is my article as the media has decided to bann all Third aprties from coverage thus making these web sites all the more important:
