Dave Brownlow, who is running for Oregon’s open Senate seat on the Constitution Party ticket, is polling at 7% in a recent SurveyUSA poll. In late September, Brownlow polled at 8%, but that is a difference which falls into the margin of error of +/-4.1%. Brownlow’s Democratic opponent showed 46% support in this most recent poll, and the Republican incumbent showed 41% support.

Lawson won the Republican primary with around 70% of the vote. He is the only Republican endorsed by the Boston Tea Party.
GE,
Unfortunately, none of those men are going to score above 7-8% or so. BJ Lawson, while he made a mistake early in his campaign, could be competitive in the race. Him and Bob Conley are the men with the best chances of getting into Congress. Once there, im confident Ron Paul will guide both towards more pro-liberty stances.
Trent – Not really. It shows a pretty bad lack of judgment to begin your campaign with a position on a major reform, and then admit later that it is a horrible idea. I’d rather vote for someone who is solid in their principles, like Bob Bird, Scotty Boman, or even Dave Brownlow (who I don’t agree with 100%).
Well GE? Are you going to “get excited” for BJ Lawson now?
Mike, they are talking about William (B.J.) Lawson who is a Republican running for congress in North Carolina’s 4th district against Democrat incumbent David Price. B.J. is a great guy and no matter what happens in November that he decides to stay involved in politics at some level.

Tom Woods asked him point blank during an interview whether or not he supported the FairTax and he said that he initially considered it as a mechanism to cease the I.R.S. but that he is opposed to it now because he didn’t want D.C. involved in local business transactions, among other reasons.
The interview is here:

Once again, proof positive that third parties are more effective down ticket. Will anyone learn from this? Probably not. Woo. Damned to repeat failure. =]
Guys, which Lawson are we talking about here, again?
Don’t know them.
Sure, I hope Conley wins.
But I can’t get excited for a guy like that. Or Lawson.
Lawson is endorsed by Paul and has backed off of the fairtax more recently. And Conley is a fair-trader, but is also anti-fed.
Both of them would be the 2nd most libertarian congressmen in Congress if they won.
Answer my question about J. Bracken Lee or T. Coleman Andrews!
Better than Bob Bird?
Not even close.
Conley is an anti-free trade xenophobe. Lawson is a FraudTaxer. Both are bums.
I think Lawson and Conley are better, since they share Ron Paul’s positions on most issues and actually have a chance in hell of elected.
I like Lawson and BJ Conley, too.
GE, you know anything about J. Bracken Lee or T. Coleman Andrews?
#3 candidate for Congress, imo, behind only Bird and Boman.
