Lee Wrights: On Independence Day, Say No To War

by R. Lee Wrights

Through the rockets-red glare of this Independence Day celebration let us remember the brave men and woman who face the horror of real fireworks every day in lands far away from the home they have sworn to protect. What better gift can you give to those who are literally giving everything than to demand that our leaders bring them home — now.

Say no to war! Bring the troops home now! Go to The Million Vote March and make your voice heard. Join Governor Gary Johnson, Judge Jim Gray and the Libertarian Party in calling for a halt to all foreign interventions and bringing our service men and women home. Not tomorrow — today! It has already been too long since these brave souls have seen their families or kissed the soil of their homeland. Be Libertarian – one time! Let America and the world know we are here and we oppose war.

Vote Libertarian. Vote Gary Johnson. Vote to stop all war. Vote for peace.

I think it may be sooner than most would dare to imagine.

I do know for sure that we live in a very dangerous world and there are examples in nature that belie the “peace” theory, just look at two competing ant colonies tearing each other up.

In case you haven’t noticed, there’s a huge difference between humans and ants. In fact, there’s a huge difference between humans and every other species. It’s called “free will”, and we’re the only ones who have it, which means that we’re the only ones who can decide how we behave.

Just as the vast majority of us have decided that certain actions, such as rape, are unacceptable under any circumstances, so we could choose to apply the same standard to murder, and indeed, to all forms of aggression. In fact, I believe that one day we will, although sadly, I doubt that any of us will live to see that day.

Lee Wrights is a very likeable character. I’m not sure if his stance on declaring peace has ever been successfully implemented anywhere in history and if it has, I would be eager to learn more about it. I do know for sure that we live in a very dangerous world and there are examples in nature that belie the “peace” theory, just look at two competing ant colonies tearing each other up. Lee can nevertheless count on my admiration, I will vote for Gary Johnson and I would be first in line to suggest an appointment be given for Lee in a Johnson administration.

    Thanks Lee! Well said.

124 days to the election now.

What will you do in each of those days (everyone) to maximize the number of votes Gary&Gray will receive?

How will you feel on November 7th?

Stop the wars, stop the hate, stop the crazy spending . . . stop thinking you have a “choice” until you’ve made one — vote Libertarian for a change.
