    (GOP nominee, to be clear)

If Trump somehow was the nominee, he’d the David Duke ’91 treatment from the party and its elected officeholders.

Dream away but he won’t get that either.

    Paulie,
A Man Can Dream Can’t he?
OK, You got it. Hoping there is someone, or this can change if he doesn’t get the R or L Nomination himself.
If he gets the R nod, The LP can nominate a ham sandwich and get 5.

Never. Barr and Koch both sounded a lot more libertarian when they were on the LP ticket than Trump does. Majority of delegates won’t go for it.

    “Stranger things have happened.”

    When?

Would be crazy, but as a Celebrity Nominee.
He could get 3-5% in a lot of races, and in some may be Balance of Power.
He does not win the Election, Neither does Gary or Dr. Feldman, Or anyone Else.
Yes, His views are not exactly Libertarian, Or Green, Or Sane.
BUT, Self funded if he wants, Preserving Access for 1-2 cycles if he wants.
    Stranger things have happened.

    Majority of delegates.
NOTA will not win as Presidential nominee.
    Bob Barr won Nomination once.
David Koch was a VP Nominee once.
    It Could Happen.
    So Could Jesse.

Not very much in common on issues.

That will be amazing if he tries it.
    BUT,
Wouldn’t he just get people to go to Orlando?
31 states, and with Our Best People on it, 32 in 2 months.

  11. paulie July 21, 2015

    That is true.

Of course, not everyone can afford to raise their rates.

On one hand we might be able to piggyback off it, but on the other hand it could hurt us if they bid petitioners away and don’t cooperate.

Donald Trump running for President as an independent would be great for the paid petition business, as Trump would have to petition to get on the ballot in all 50 states plus DC. He’s got the money to pay for all out of his own pocket. The later he gets started the more it would have to pay. It would also drive petition circulators away from other petitions, which would force them to raise their pay rates.

    Um, Mark,
If they are only asking D/R/I, That would make LP and G Independents by the poll’s cross tabs.

    >Among voters identifying as independents, Trump is the choice of 26%,

Yeah, but how many of them aren’t third-grade drop-outs?

  15. Losty July 21, 2015

    Yes Please.
Or Just win the Nomination, LP will get 10% Easy.

Why that dirty bird! Taking votes away from (fill in the blank). Those votes belong to (fill in the blank) and were duly bought and paid for! What a bum!
