The Jill Stein for President campaign announced today that Dr. Jill Stein has secured enough delegates to win the Green Party’s Presidential nomination at the party’s upcoming national convention.
After a week in which she won the majority of Green delegates in California, New York, and Maryland, Dr. Stein has the support of 203 delegates, enough to win the nomination on the first ballot at the Green Party’s Presidential Nominating Convention in Houston August 4-7. The nomination is not official until then.

Dr. Stein said that a June 12 NBC poll showing her at 5% nationally, up from 2% in a PPP poll in mid-May, was an unmistakable sign that her campaign was gaining momentum. “With a tiny fraction of the money and free media attention available to Clinton and Trump, we’ve earned the support of millions of Americans and we’re growing fast,” said Stein.

“The American people are tired of the rigged economy and the rigged political system that created it. The presumptive Democratic and Republican nominees are the most disliked and mistrusted of all time. In the streets and in the polls, we’re hearing that a majority of Americans want a better choice. Representing the one national party not poisoned by corporate money, my campaign has the unique ability to offer solutions that benefit the American people, not the powerful corporate interests funding the political establishment – the predatory banks, fossil fuel giants and war profiteers,” said Stein.

“We are fighting to open up the debates, so the American people can know who their choices are. We’re calling for a common sense rule for participation – to include all candidates on enough ballot lines to win the presidency. We are challenging the Commission on Presidential Debates controlled by Democratic and Republican party elites,” said Stein. “The League of Women Voters described the debates run by the Commission as ‘a fraud perpetrated on the American voter.’ It time to open up the debates and end that fraud.”

“Our campaign is building America’s only party that puts people, planet and peace over profit. We are the only campaign calling for an emergency Green New Deal providing 20 million green jobs to transition to 100% renewable energy and avert climate catastrophe; for free public higher education and cancelling student debt; for healthcare and education as basic rights for all; for a welcoming path to citizenship; for an end to police violence and the war on drugs; for a foreign policy based on international law and human rights; and for fixing our broken political system to get big money out of politics and put the people back in,” said Stein.

Stein said she had begun the process of reaching out to potential Vice-Presidential candidates, and that her priority is finding a running mate who can lift up the various front line communities and issues she is focusing upon, including Black Lives Matter, climate justice, ending poverty, and abolition of student debt.

“I would like to thank everyone who has supported our campaign, including those who are voting Green for the first time as well as long-time Greens who have led the charge for decades to bring real democracy to America,” said Stein. “I would also like to thank my fellow Presidential candidates for running a substantive, uplifting campaign that we can all be proud of. This campaign is for all of us, and I look forward to working together to create an America, and a world, that works for all of us.”

After posting the above, I went to Milnes’s site out of curiosity. Turns out Milnes believes that the Orlando massacre — and the murder of Christina Grimmie — were DHS/FBI/Mossad operations initially targeted at him, Milnes. They expected him to attend the LP convention in Orlando, and had their hit teams set up.

But when Milnes decided not to attend, the DHS/FBI/Mossad decided to go ahead, but with new targets: https://rwm4prez2012.wordpress.com/2016/06/14/orlando-another-coincidence/

I know I shouldn’t laugh at him, but Milnes is hilarious!

I think of the LP, GP, and CP as Third Parties.

Below them are the Fourth Parties. Those only on a few state ballots as officially recognized parties. The Peace & Freedom Party, Socialist Workers Party. Natural Law Party, etc.

Below that are the Fifth Parties. Mostly write-in parties, apart from presidential ballots of the few states where it’s easy. The Objectivist Party. American Freedom Party, etc.

Below that is Robert Milnes and his Progressive Libertarian Alliance Fusion Ticket.

The Rs and Ds are giant behemoths. The LP is microscopic, compared to them. The GP is quite significantly smaller, by most measures, than the LP. The CP is barely even a thing at this point.

Sean Scallon> It’s really pretty much down to the big four now as far as legitimate, broad-based national political parties.

    Big Four?

Let’s please set biases aside and be honest. It’s the Big Two. The Dems and GOP. The LP and GP are nowhere near their league.

The LP, GP, and CP are the Minor Three. I’ll grant you the CP is the smallest. But the LP and GP are both far nearer the CP in size than they are to the GOP or Dems.

I think Stein should be in the debate if she polls over five percent and is on the ballot in states that add up to 270 electoral votes.

Castle will never reach such levels of support (not when his own party is trying to sabotage their own Presidential ticket) so there’s no reason to include the CP. It’s really pretty much down to the big four now as far as legitimate, broad-based national political parties.

Johnson is soaking up all the mainstream attention for third parties this election season; Castle and Stein will be non-issues.

A poll found even Sanders supporters will vote Johnson over Stein in November, even though Stein is more in line ideologically. That should tell you something.

This is going to be an election for the history books. The last election with this much drama and excitement is the presidential election of 1980. We had Ed Clark of the Libertarian Party and Barry Commoner of the Citizens Party and of course John Anderson. At one time during the election, polling had John Anderson at 15%, Ed Clark at 5%, and Barry Commoner at 1%.

There was a presidential candidates debate between Ed Clark and Barry Commoner (John Anderson was invited but he declined). This was the election when Ed Clark received more votes then John Anderson in Alaska. This was also the election of the famous Barry Commoner “BS” ad. There were attempts to censure his ad but the courts ruled it was political speech and thus could not be censured. What Barry Commoner was saying in his ad was that the establishment political system (Reagan and Carter) was screwed up
and Americans were paying the price.

If there is justice in the world we will see a debate between Trump, Clinton, Castle, Stein, and Johnson. America and the cause of justice will benefit. We will hear real issues and solutions discussed not political correctness run amok. I believe if this debate occurred we will have record ratings.

If we do not make a political impact this election this is on us. Whomever (Castle, Stein, or Johnson) we support we must participate and be involved. We have got to produce. If we fail this election this is on us and shame on us.
