Analysis: Size of Political Parties

[Edit: With hat tip to reader Ryan, we added the American Solidarity Party to this article.]

We have occasionally posted on the finances of the Libertarian National Committee.  By way of comparison:

for the first half of the year, the Forward Party raised $1,608,067.  The No Labels SuperPAC raised $1,499,330, though No Labels has claimed to have available $70 million for ballot access.   The Green Party of the United States received $51,477 in itemized contributions and $56,305 in unitemized contributions, for a total of $107,782. Cornel West’s Presidential campaign raised  $71,398 and spent just under $2800.  The American Solidarity Party raised $46,317. The Constitution Party in the first half of the year raised $43,979 and spent $49,323.  The Libertarian National Committee raised approximately $513,000 in the same time period. The Reform Party raised $2,445.

Taking June as a typical month, the Green Party spent money on Adobe Creative Cloud for software, to ADP for fees, taxes, and accounting, to two staff members, one each in Florida and New York, to Pair for a web service, Paypal/Payflow for fees, and to the US Postal Service for postage. Wages and IRA for the two employees for the month came (in very round numbers) to $3500 and $3300. A search of other months reveals that the party had been using Nationbuilder, but after April ceased to do so.

Forward Party$1,608,067
No Labels SuperPAC$1,499,330
Libertarian Party $513,000
Green Party $107,782
Cornell West $71,398
American Solidarity Party $46,317
Constitution Party $43,979

Reform Party of Florida officially died after Nick Hensley and his allies took it over. Hope that POS is happy. He is so hungry for power that he takes over organizations, places incompetent leadership, provides no training, and doesn’t care about the consequences, so long as he’s king in the Reform Party. At least he denied himself his own bargaining chip, ballot access in Florida (once you’re deregistered, you lose your ballot access). He played the game of thrones to become Chair and now has nothing but a shell of a party without any ballot access.

Doesn’t the Prohibition Party have an income guaranteed from an estate from some 100 years ago or so? I guess they weren’t listed.
