Constitution Party Moves 2024 Presidential Nominating Convention Date

The Constitution Party has rescheduled its 2024 Presidential Nominating Convention to the week following the originally planned date. The event will still take place in Salt Lake City, Utah.

According to a recent post made over the weekend by Richard Winger of Ballot Access News, the Constitution Party has rescheduled its 2024 Presidential Nominating Convention. The convention will now take place from April 24 to April 27, 2023, shifting from its original date of April 17 to April 20. Winger mentioned that he was informed of the change by Charles Deemer, the Treasurer of the Constitution Party of California.

Independent Political Report verified the amended date on the Constitution Party website, with a formal change being made on November 22, 2023.

While no updated schedule has been added to the official website page, an initial email from Southern States Regional Chair Thom Jones to Independent Political Report in late October outlined the agenda for the convention. It will include selecting the Constitution Party’s 2024 presidential ticket, debating and adopting changes to the party’s platform, and electing new party leadership for the next four years.

Furthermore, the original schedule allocated the first two days of the convention for discussion and debate on the party platform, while the subsequent two days were dedicated to the keynote speaker, the selection of a presidential ticket, and the election of new leadership. The Constitution Party anticipates releasing further information in the lead-up to the convention.
