Jason at Peach Pundit has the story.
Former U.S. Congressman and 2008 Presidential candidate Bob Barr today announced his endorsement of Libertarian Chuck Donovan running for U.S. Senate. The Donovan for Senate campaign is proud to receive such an endorsement. Bob Barr is well known figure in third party politics ever since he left the Republican Party in 2006 to join the Libertarian Party.
This press release was picked up all over the country for some reason. It was on the USA To day website the Dallas texas paper ,npr and in Philly.com
I know I don’t say a whole lot of positive things about Bob Barr, but credit where credit is due:
A lot of people expected him to jump right back to the GOP as soon as his LP presidential campaign ended. It’s nice to see him still supporting the LP and its candidates two years later.
Let’s not forget that Chuck Donovan is endorsed by the Clayton County Republican Party.
Oops. I plum forgot. Is that too politically incorrect to mention? Cause, as we know the Claytong County GOP made an hsitoric endorsement of the Libertarian over the Republican, because the Republican – Johnny Isakson, was stonewalling on the Obama birth certificate issue.
Of course, left-libertarians who make up the bulk of the membership of the Libertarian Party are loathe to criticize Obama’s lack of US citizenship and Islamist roots, so the entire Clayton County GOP endorsement of Donovan, went ignored.
We already posted an article on that. You commented on it.
“Issue”? LOL.
Unfortunately, we are not even close to the “bulk.”
rotfl
Not by us. I already posted it.
the Clayton County GOP made a historic endorsement …
it’s “a” historic …
In American English you should say “a” before “history” or “historic” …
It’s just like “a” hat. We don’t say: “I have an hat.”
uh, not so fast. One source says this:
“You should use “an” before a word beginning with an “H” only if the “H” is not pronounced: “an honest effort”; it’s properly “a historic event” though many sophisticated speakers somehow prefer the sound of “an historic,” so that version is not likely to get you into any real trouble. “
paulie, in Eric’s unnuanced mind, if you are anti-intervention you are a leftist, and if you are pro-intevention you are a rightist. It’s all so simple in Eric’s world.
rp, yes, that seems to be the dividing line for Eric. I wonder how he’d process a L who didn’t support the Iraq War but favored warring on Australia. 😉
Dondero: “left-libertarians who make up the bulk of the membership of the Libertarian Party are loathe to criticize Obama’s lack of US citizenship and Islamist roots,”
What has this to do with anything?
Birther Psychos like Root and Dondero are not libertarian.
Root and Dondero are anti-American bigots.
They hate America for its freedom. They want to destroy freedom of worship and property rights, and impose U.S. imperialism on the planet.
It must have been hard for Dondero to serve in the Navy of a nation he so hates.
Not so fast yourself, Robert Capozzi:
The so-called “sophisticated” speakers who “somehow” prefer “an historic” are wrong. Your source mocks them by saying that they “somehow” prefer the sound of “an historic.”
Those who insist on using “an” historic are ignorant and uneducated, although they pretend to be sophisticated. If they were educated they would know better.
Such pseudointellectuals should go back to school and learn something instead of putting on airs and pretending. They sound like the Three Stooges pretending to be “shmaaat” and come across as buffoons to those who are actually educated.
Don’t waste your time defending them. Teach them. And if you didn’t know better yourself before, you do now. So, you can change and avoid being mocked.
Let’s see… is this piece about a.) an endorsement b.) Eric Dondero or c.) the improper use of an article? To see the correct answer turn your computer upside down. 🙂
Bob Barr is an hero for the Libertarian Party.
