Congratulations to Wayne Allyn Root!
Mister Root was appointed on September 8th by Governor Jim Gibbons to the Nevada Judicial Selection Commission. Wayne is one of the few Libertarians in America to be appointed to a state commission.
Wayne Root was the 2008 Libertarian Vice Presidential candidate. He now serves on the Libertarian National Committee (LNC) and as Chair of the Libertarian National Congressional Committee (LNCC). He writes for the Las Vegas Review Journal and is a regular guest on FOX News. His new book is entitled, “The Conscience of a Libertarian: Empowering the Citizen Revolution with God, Guns, Gambling & Tax Cuts.” For more of Wayne’s views, commentaries, or to watch his many national media appearances, please visit at: www.ROOTforAmerica.com.

it is good , he will get to help choose appointees givin that a spot opens up b4 an election .
DO NOT CONF– USE THIS WITH BALLOT QUESTION 1 IN NEVADA . WHERE THE STATE ASEEKS TO GIVE SOLE POWER TO THE GOVERNOR AND HIS BOARD FOR PICKING ALL JUDICIAL APPOINTEES.
NO ON 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@15 lmfao
I agree that Wayne is deserving of congratulations! Those of us not in Nevada will need to be told what’s going on, please.
Congratulations to Mr. Root.
Jim Duensing for Judge?
PEACE
He is kissing her kneck, working on the buttons. The candy (his nomination) worked better than expected, and the flowers (his book) had the aroma of money.
No need for the crystal ball. A scandal will hit him before the next convention. Tainting any run for the selection.
I wish he would prove me wrong.
This could be a nice way to see how Root actually performs in public service (as opposed to his rhetoric). At the very least, it could provide an interesting case study.
@11,
I tried to be careful with my wording.
I said that Root will have the opportunity to protect people’s rights (assuming there are any vacancies for him to participate in choosing someone to fill, of course).
What he’ll do with that opportunity remains to be seen, but prefer to be optimistic on the matter.
“It looks like a position from which he’ll have the opportunity to protect the rights of his fellow Nevadans by filling judicial vacancies with candidates who respect those rights.”
Considering how Root urged Americans to block the “Ground Zero mosque,” I wonder if Muslim Nevadans feel so confidant about Root finding candidates who’ll “respect those rights.”
Congratulations!
Outstanding! Congratulations to Wayne on his appointment. It looks like a position from which he’ll have the opportunity to protect the rights of his fellow Nevadans by filling judicial vacancies with candidates who respect those rights.
Congrats, Wayne!
Congrats!
Aaron is correct.
Congratualations to Wayne Root!
More Libertarians should seek such appointments.

This should be of special interest to LNC members.
On Facebook, Root is reporting today, about 2 hours ago: “I’m proud to announce that Kip Herriage, CEO of Wealth Masters International has been elected to the Board of the Libertarian National Congressional Committee (LNCC)”
It should be noted at http://ezinearticles.com/?Wealth-Masters-International—Scam-Or-Legitimate-Opportunity&id=731234, and http://www.friendsinbusiness.com/board1/index.cgi/noframes/read/159950 that Wealth Masters International is a MLM scam.
It’s extremely disconcerting that the LNCC, already a pay-to-play group, with no oversight by the LNC (per Mattson, Dec 2008 LNC meeting), is engaging in association with such shady characters. In the political arena where perception is reality, this is ARSENIC! We already get enough grief politically, so we don’t need THIS problem on top of it to negatively reflect on our federal candidates.
So, I’m going to put some people on the spot. Mark, this means YOU, for starters.
LNC, you need to change the standing order (or whatever it is) regarding that committee to establish proper oversight of the LNCC, and it needs to be done NOW, before Root and his cronies destroy the LP. I’m dead-on, one-million-percent serious here.
Congratulations to Wayne Allyn Root!
Las Vegas Review Journal, huh?
An impressive appointment.
