If the Libertarian Party ever figures out how to de-link stateless society from unrestrained rule of capitalism, they will be a real third party. I have never seen a group so willing to step on its own message and create hostility to its ideas among the population as the Libertarian Party.
This is the essential Libertarian Party message: “Yes. Elect us and we will strip every protection from you in the most aggressive and predatory fashion we can manage.”
Jesus Christ, how is this message supposed to appeal to anyone? You want to turn public water supplies over to private predators? You want to strip workers of basic protections? This is where you want to begin dismantling the State?
Well, I hope that works for you — it ain’t working for anyone I know. You cannot exploit antisocial sentiments to change society.

Yeah stop being assholes LP. Focus more on being unaccountable losers who allow kid touchers like me, Matt Barnes in the party out in California along with all of the loser twenty-somethings who have at one time or another lived in my flophouse.
I like the overall message he’s trying to get across – nihilism isn’t an attractive political philosophy to most people, so, if you’re wrapping your libertarian evangelism in the stuff, please stop. Focusing on the positive and finding places where everyone in the conversation “wins” by adopting libertarian ideas will always go farther than belittling “statist teat-sucking leech warmongers”, even if the label fits with alarming accuracy.
It’s better to treat everyone like libertarians that are rationally interested in becoming better libertarians than it is treating everyone like they’re ideological enemies that must be tested before they’re allowed to receive precious truths.
His stateless society is a bit incoherent, though, and does detract a bit from what would otherwise be a useful message. I’m not sure if he was trying to prove his bona fides by “out-libertarian”-ing everyone or if he is a legitimate advocate for a stateless communal society.
I would not get all wrapped around the axel about this guy’s drivel. His diatribe really isn’t worth getting one’s blood pressure elevated over. He makes a few decent points but most of them are lost in all the lengthy rhetoric. As Obi-Wan Kenobi might say… the FARCE is strong with this one… (or was it Darth Vader?)
and the on going lack of ethics of LP [Phillies and Knappster: the one and only American Peace Party, yeah, sure, right] at all levels.
So if this guy really wants a “stateless society,” and I take him at his word that he does, then what is going to provide these “protections” he so treasures in the absence of the state? Does the stateless thing happen only after the means of production have been turned over to the alleged safe-keeping of the whole? And if so, how does his statelessness differ from run-of-the-mill Communism, of which the stateless society has always been the professed end goal.
I say this not to be smart alec. I really am trying to understand distinctions here. It seems to me that what a lot of stateless anti-capitalist such as Jehu are really doing is chosing to focus on the Utopian end goal, and bypassing the process whereby we supposedly get there which history has show us is quite … shall we say … messy. So you get all the fun of promoting a stateless Utopia without having to advocated for purges and pogroms which kind of bring down your cool factor a bit.
This strikes me as a rather childish pose. If you are going to advocate an end outcome, you have to own what it takes to get to that outcome.
You lost me at the “REPTILE” part.
All that matters right now is ending the wars and ending corporatism, that’s it. Yes all of our other values matter.
Also, it’s not really Libertarians pushing these “extreme” issues, it’s that whenever confronted other people take it to the extreme, and Libertarians spend too much time trying to explain to people “ultimate” libertarianism instead of, what we would do right now.
It seems like it would take 25 anarchists to get elected to Senate before we noticed a big change in politics …..10 years from now.
So a few libertarians are not going to take away your roads.

Libertarianism is the fairest most honest proposed political system in America today! (No robbing the many to help the few anywhere in the platform.)
Funny how folks who look like REPTILES compose a high percentage of their DNA can lecture and name call others. This guy who definitely has “a face for radio ONLY” keeps pushing Rand Paul to the forefront as a Libertarian. Rand Paul is a Republican. To my knowledge Rand Paul has NEVER gave a penny to the LP. Ron Paul is a Republican, true he got a lifetime membership to the LP when he was seeking to be the POTUS nominee, but let’s be honest many moons have passed since those days. The Pauls DO NOT represent the LP.
A quick read of the last dozen or so NLP news releases will show this mushroom doesn’t have a clue about the current LP. I learned MANY moons ago that the commies say a lot of FALSE statements to which I waste little time…

“A free and competitive market allocates resources in the most efficient manner. Each person has the right to offer goods and services to others on the free market. The only proper role of government in the economic realm is to protect property rights, adjudicate disputes, and provide a legal framework in which voluntary trade is protected. All efforts by government to redistribute wealth, or to control or manage trade, are improper in a free society.” – Libertarian Party Platform, Section 2.0 – http://www.lp.org/
Property and Contract = Property rights are entitled to the same protection as all other human rights. The owners of property have the full right to control, use, dispose of, or in any manner enjoy, their property without interference, until and unless the exercise of their control infringes the valid rights of others. We (the members of the Libertarian Party) oppose all controls on wages, prices, rents, profits, production, and interest rates. We advocate the repeal of all laws banning or restricting the advertising of prices, products, or services. We oppose all violations of the right to private property, liberty of contract, and freedom of trade. The right to trade includes the right not to trade — for any reasons whatsoever. Where property, including land, has been taken from its rightful owners by the government or private action in violation of individual rights, we favor restitution to the rightful owners. – http://www.lp.org/

j: You cannot exploit antisocial sentiments to change society.
me: True dat. Although I do believe some water companies are ALREADY private. Governments, businesses, and private individuals do predatory things all the time. Policing them all takes a lot of resources and work. Leaving it all up to torts seems ineffective. It’s one of the reasons I like the Georgist idea of a citizen’s dividend…to smooth off the serial injustices we each face every day. It levels the playing field, which is tipped in favor of those with the resources to buy justice.
It shows that libertarianism is not a left or right thing, it is not against of the common man, etc.
On another note, you can blame big business (Google or Motorola, take your pick) for creating a poor product that causes me to submit my comments before they are complete.
…countless examples to demonstrate this that are easily understood by most people.
And, among the many other benefits of this issue is the fact that one can make the argument without having to advocate (directly) for the elimination a job, or a pay cut, or loss of a social program for anyone. I think it is a great way to introduce libertarianism to the average person.
