I don’t necessarily agree with the reasoning of all of the lefties here, but I do agree with the overall point that Wal-Mart sucks.
If we had an actual free market in this country, Wal-Mart as we know it would not exist. The Wal-Mart empire has been built on corporate welfare and eminent domain.
If the market place in this country was not so distorted by government interference, more people would be able to own their own business instead of working for a big corporation like Wal-Mart.
The Green Party Watch story linked in this article has additional facts about Walmart.

“I was told that they used to help their employees sign up for Medi-cal.”
I actually saw this in action at Wal-Mart in California several years ago.

I protested Walmart on Black Friday, also, although no one noticed, since I never shop there. I was told that they used to help their employees sign up for Medi-cal. I don’t know if they still do that, but I’ll never shop there or at Sam’s Club. Frankly, most other retail chains pay horribly and have terrible hours. That’s one of the many reasons I got out of the fashion business almost 30 years ago.

Announcing Jan 1, WalMart and USGov will officially merge as the new multinational entity GovMart!
