Riley J. Hood: Stop Worshiping the Elephant God

Riley J. Hood is the chairman of the Constitution Party of Wisconsin. He ran for U.S. Senate in 2012 as a write-in candidate and received 70 votes.

Stop Worshiping the Elephant-God!

But now our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever He pleased.

Their idols are silver and gold, the works of men’s hands.

They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not:

They have ears, but they hear not: noses have they, but they smell not:

They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not,

neither speak they with their throat. They that make them are like unto them;

so is everyone that trusteth in them.” Psalms 115: 3-8

Do you worship the Elephant-god?

I have never been to India, but the reports I hear are that the poverty is crushing. The people of India are sincere, but they are mostly sincere Hindus, where young girls are burned on funeral pyres, the people are starving, but not allowed to eat meat and the cows stroll through town fat and happy. Who said faith doesn’t shape a society?

One of the 300,000 Hindu gods is the Elephant-god Ganesh. After the Hindu is beset with his meatless diet, then Ganesh comes along demanding the offering of fruit and vegetables to be left to rot in front of it’s images. This is only a blessing to pests which feed off the rotting food.

Most Americans would find this appalling, yet there is an Elephant-god that is worshiped in America today, it is called the Republican Party. It has living icons, who speak the Elephant’s commandments.

Elephantism’s First Commandment:  “The essence of faith is the lesser of two evils.”

Elephantism’s Second Commandment: “Christians can’t win.”

Elephantism’s Third Commandment: “Look at the giant donkey!”

Such false faith has led to the moral bankruptcy which plagues America and has also lead to the faithless behavior of many Christians today. And while some wag may accuse me of “eagle worship,” I support the “eagle” only as long as it continues to apply God’s Word and Biblical Principles to our political situations. If the Constitution Party of Wisconsin (CPoW) ceases to be righteous, this State Chairman would then prefer that it would cease to be, rather than to have it continue on as a stumbling block. Can anyone honestly say that the Democrat or Republican parties stand up for God’s Law, or the Moral Order?

For too long, the Religious Right has been taken in by Elephantism. The Moral Majority was started in 1976. Do you know what Party the Religious Right first endorsed? It was the Democrats, namely the “Baptist” Jimmy Carter. Having been burned by their misplaced support in ecumenical Donkey worship, they switched to ecumenical Elephant worship, supporting Ronald Reagan, and every other Republican nominee ever since. The “political poverty” in America is crushing these days, and the Christian’s political “first fruits” are sent to “Ganesh” and left there to rot, or worse; to be used by men who hate the Church. Regarding the title scripture, most Christians placed their faith in million dollar war-chests, rather than in Biblical Principles. I know that first hand, by what proceeded from their mouths this election season.

CPoW is a Bible-based Political Party. We are coming from a Biblical world-view and our Party was formed with Christians in mind. It ought not be a hard thing for Christians to support their brethren’s efforts in the political arena. It is only hard when people have decades of Elephantism under their belts. Regarding the title Scripture, for Christians to vote for a Socialist, with a veneer of Islam, or for Christians to vote for a cultist, means that Christians have taken leave of their senses. You can’t redo November 2012, but you can repent and do better in 2014.

    Obviously Riley’s knowledge of Mr. Romney’s faith is small enough to disappear within the head of a pin.

    Translation of penultimate sentence: He is referring to Obama (socialist) and Romney (cultist). Your mileage may vary.

    @2

    Nah, I just make sure to mention that in every one of Mr. Hood’s articles, just to make a point that the great (for me) neighboring state of Wisconsin isn’t a theocratic bastion.

    … Except in Nevada

    You know, with these guys around, I understand why most dissatisfied Republicans opt for the Libertarian Party over the Constitution Party.

    “He ran for U.S. Senate in 2012 as a write-in candidate and received 70 votes.”

    He uses that as a claim to fame?

    I might agree- but I kinda have a thing about tearing down other religions, especially my own, in talking about the GOP here.
