“Be Green Globally,” an international collaboration and fundraiser with the Green Parties of Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, is running through April 22nd, Earth Day. We’re starting conversations on common issues that affect our countries and the world.
We received over 200 thoughtfully written responses to our first thought experiment centered on the Green Economy, and you can continue to browse through the responses and participate.
Today we want to highlight what the Green Party is doing for Respect For Diversity. Take part in our thought experiment – “Someone has given you an open-ended grant to promote tolerance and acceptance of all people… What would you do?”
Provide your own response to the question, and up-vote and comment on other suggestions made by Greens from around the world!
Each country also produced a short video centered on the theme of diversity. You can watch the US video here:
Make GPUS Proud!
Supporter, help us meet our goal of raising $5,000 between today and Earth Day, April 22nd. We’ve already raised over $1,000, or more than 20% of our goal.
The Green Party of the United States (GPUS) plays a unique role among Green Parties. Some call our country the “world’s only superpower.” We have only 4% of the world’s population, but account for nearly 20% of all greenhouse gas emissions and nearly 50% of all military spending worldwide. If the Green Party’s policies and values truly take hold here, we can save the world.
Each country has its own fundraising goal to hit. Canada, Australia, and New Zealand all have elected members of parliament at the federal level. They’re probably going to raise more absolute money than us, but hitting our goal means that we can do more right now, this election cycle, to grow the party, and have the US take its place in the world in promoting Green Party values and policies.
Make a donation now to support the Green Party of the United States and to Be Green Globally!
