From David Montgomery in the Argus Leader:
Chad Haber, the husband of former U.S. Senate candidate Annette Bosworth, won the South Dakota Libertarian Party’s nomination for attorney general Saturday.
Haber prevailed over former U.S. Senate candidate Kurt Evans and former attorney general candidate Bob Newland after a 40-minute debate. Fifteen of the 30 assembled Libertarian activists voted for Haber, along with 10 for Evans, three for Newland and two for “none of the above.”
…
In addition to Haber, Libertarians nominated candidates for every single constitutional office. They’ll run Emmett Reistroffer for secretary of state, John English for public lands commissioner, Evans for auditor, Ken Santema for treasurer and Ryan Gaddy for Public Utilities Commission.
That means voters will have a choice for every single statewide office this fall, even though Democrats didn’t nominate anyone for attorney general, auditor or lands commissioner.
As they completed their slate, Libertarians felt triumphant.
“We really have now a bigger roster than the Democrats have for statewide offices,” Santema said.
