J.R. Myers of Alaska and Scott Copeland of TX will address a business meeting of the Florida Constitution Party on Saturday, December 12, in Sarasota. Although not a debate, it is the first time two formally declared Constitution Party candidates have appeared at the same forum.
2 Constitution Party Prez candidates appear together at FL CP meeting

Thanks for the update.
Scott didn’t show up at the event, but Patrick Anthony Ockander, and J.P. Myers did.
Back to the subject on hand… If you are for the CP then support the the candidates. As the early post read some are traveling far and most likely could use some monetary support from us to help them in future forums/debates. I will not be on the site again, I only wanted to see what was posted so far. T
Thank you and best wishes to all the candidates!
And yet you keep posting here with language of a 5-year old while I keep presenting evidence that rattles certain CP nerves.
Obvious case of acute obsessive-compulsive disorder.
Yet my pestering is making many of you more defensive and clannish in your behavior, therefore hurting your outreach to the average American voter. Oh and posting your baggage online for the public to see isn’t going to leave the CP unscathed in the long run -especially if you run a candidate for a significant office that might have a good chance of winning or getting a good amount of votes… Until a reporter happens to do some digging and comes across Riley’s or Don Grundmann’s pieces on the internet.
Bob – no matter what you post he’ll reply; he’s a Constitution Party stalker looking for someone to follow. Just say nothing
No one is listening to you Cody.

Because I raise too serious of questions that you cannot seem to explain away.
At least Floyd was open and honest about the internal state of your party here.
BTW, are you supportive of Riley Hood calling for the killing of Muslims and the extermination of Islam?
Cody, the only thing you have shown is that you are an idiot and not worth a response.
So basically you can’t address the serious matters I have brought up here and prefer to act like a 5-year old and cower away from debate with your tail in-between your legs.
Thanks for displaying the kind of intelligence that seems to guide the Constitution Party, keep it up.
Wow, I don’t know what the voices inside your head are telling Mr. Quirk but you really should take your meds and put tin foil on your head to protect from the voices. I’m going to let you have the last word and break off communications with you because you really need professional help. You are a dupe and you don’t know it Mr. Quirk.
Lol, so basically that’s a big YES on Goode’s part.
Hey, when the Constitution Party throws fellow party stalwarts under the bus that were trying to help them grow beforehand, then you need to expect this kind of long-term blow-back and harassment of your party. However, the fact that the CP has perhaps some of the poorest PR communication skills & tactics, along with an utter lack of transparency within it’s ranks (especially when it comes to the actions of it’s Executive Committee), in comparison to the functions of other well-organized minor parties currently out there -only adds increase to the poor and decaying state of the Constitution Party.
Both Mr. Whitley’s revelations of the current internal situation of the CP in the comment sections on this website, along with your ad hominem response further demonstrates this, especially since the matter of how Goode’s resignation from the Executive Committee was improperly communicated with the rest of the National Committee and active members of your party is a serious question that should be asked.
Dear Mr. Cody Quirk, are you on drugs, drunk or insane? You must be one of those three because your comment has no relevancy to the discussion at hand. I don’t known, maybe you’re just stuck in stupid, either way, in the future, please don’t respond to my comments because you are clearly a jerk. Have a nice day.
Bob Haran,
Constitution Party of Arizona.
“Donald Trump and Jeb Bush can travel and not be financially hurting either, does that make them better candidates?”
I wonder if that’s why Virgil Goode quit your party and is currently backing one of those two then?
Funny how his resignation wasn’t communicated to the other active members of the CP until the various articles of him joining Trump’s campaign popped up.
Patrick Ockander just contacted me – he is expecting to be at the FL meeting too. I had not heard of his candidacy until yesterday
@Peter Gemma
RE: “they are the only two on the ballot for the ID CP presidential primary.”
Patrick Ockander of San Antonio will also be on the primary ballot in Idaho, March 8, 2016. The ID SoS should have the Ockander information out tomorrow, Monday, Dec. 7th. Brief candidate information on Ockander is at http://www.cpidaho.org under 2016 Candidatees, etc..
An announcement on Myers (given the mail/delivery distance from Alaska) may be delayed to the following day, either Tuesday or Wednesday (Dec. 9th, the deadline).
In any case, both of these gentlemen have forwarded their declarations of candidacy to the Capitol at Boise…per phone conversations early last week.
My understanding (at this point) is that Ockander will also participate in the Boise debate.
We begin the debate advance work this Thursday evening, Dec. 10th, in our regular 4th quarter CP-Idaho conference call. If you want the working draft flyer on the debate, email me. Key words however are…”working draft”.
Just found out that Copeland and Myers will be debating at the end of Feb in Boise.
Paulie – don’t know if any more joint appearances are in the works, but they are the only two on the ballot for the ID CP presidential primary. Their paths may cross there.
Good point, Bob Haran.
And, a lot of LP campaigns are having issues with travel money too, but you are correct, that’s actually a secondary point as the parties are fundamentally different ideologically.
Cody, why compare CP and LP candidates ability to travel, they are two different political parties. If the LP has candidates who can travel and not be financially hurting, good for them, Donald Trump and Jeb Bush can travel and not be financially hurting either, does that make them better candidates?
Cody,
To the extent that LP campaigns have candidate travel at this point it’s being self-funded by the candidates, and I don’t think I have seen any of them travel with staff yet. Most of them wish they could do more travel than they can afford right now, so it’s not like it’s not a problem in the LP.
“This does show that the Constitution Party has some serious candidates who are willing to travel from Alaska and Texas to Florida to address the Florida CP.”
Compared to several well funded LP candidates that can travel to those 3 states multiple times and not be financially hurting.
Which other state conventions do they have plans of attending?
J.R. Myers seems to be in discussion with the CA AIP, he could be on their primary ballot and maybe receive their nomination. If that is the case J.R. Myers is the best candidate because the CP nominee needs to get the California ballot line to be effective. Darrell Castle could also be a good choice. I am not too familiar with Scott Copeland but it is great that he can come to the meeting, I will check out the video of him speaking at the event.
This does show that the Constitution Party has some serious candidates who are willing to travel from Alaska and Texas to Florida to address the Florida CP.
Thx Pauli
Fixed. Peter did give it a headline, but in trying to add an image he tried to post the article as an image instead of as an article. The joys of wordpress 🙂
No headline?
