From the Steve Kerbel campaign:
Last week I was diagnosed with a pneumonia, and had to be hospitalized on Friday due to extreme abdominal pain. I spent the day in the ER, and missed my flight to the joint Alabama/ Mississippi Convention. I am home today, but as a result of these events, will not be able to make the Biloxi Presidential Debate tonight. I look forward to making a speedy recovery so I can return to the campaign trail in the coming days.

There is a record of Kerbel’s illegal activity. Check this link for a recent update before you take him seriously. He is not a good guy and certainly not Presidential material.

Is there any record of Steve Kerbel being a libertarian, big “L” or small “l,” prior to him seeking the Libertarian Party presidential nomination for 2016? If so, can somebody post some links to show this, if any such links exist?
In at least one interview, Kerbel mentions that he “discovered” the Libertarian Party around 2000. But I haven’t ever found any answer as to when he “joined” the Libertarian Party (by whatever definition one wants to put on that — registering as a Libertarian voter, joining a state LP, joining the LNC’s membership program, etc.).
I never did get an answer to the question of how long Steve Kerbel has been a libertarian, and when he joined the Libertarian Party.
From a campaign perspective, this is very unfortunate timing. I feel like the Kerbel campaign is fading fast. This certainly will not help.
Agreed. At one point, I had high hopes for Kerbel as a dark horse, with a chance to pull off a Badnarik-style upset at the convention. Now, that possibility looks increasingly remote.
Get well!
I certainly wish Mr. Kerbel a speedy recovery.

Candidate Kerbel,
Take care and recovery in peace. Pneumonia is no joke.
I was looking forward to hearing you articulate your platform. Next time.
Mr. Kerbel take care pneumonia is nothing to fool around with. I had to fight it off a few months ago myself.
I deleted your comments, Nathan Norman. I’ll be sitting here through the rest of the debate, so I’ll delete anything else you say.
He could actually be sick. People do get sick, especially during the winter months.
Statistically, when scheduling eleven people in the winter to show up at an event you are going to find that at least one (or two) of them get sick. And you don’t play around with pneumonia — and you certainly don’t travel with it!
While I find Mr Kerbel to be somewhat lacking as a candidate, I certainly wish him no harm. Hopefully he will get better soon.
Mr. Kerbel,
Hoping for a speedy recovery from your illness. You will be missed, sir, as I was hoping to see all of you on one stage.
Your health comes first!
Steve,
Sorry to hear of your illness, and best wishes for a speedy recovery!
