Ron Paul, on television recently, said that voters who agree with the Green Party or the Libertarian Party on the issues ought to vote for those parties. Paul also said that he himself will not vote for either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton. See this story.

Rand Paul’s announcement turned out to be that he would not be endorsing any candidate for the Republican Presidential nomination, but will support whoever the GOP nominates in the fall, even if it’s Trump. Like Ron Paul, Rand Paul has been extremely critical of Donald Trump in the past.
Ron Paul has made similar remarks in recent months.
On the Libertarian National Committee discussion list, Guy McLendon wrote:
Dr. (Ron) Paul seriously considered the LP’s request for him to speak at our national convention, but will unfortunately not be able to attend. He was very receptive to the invitation, however. Except for what amounts to two schedule conflicts related to family events, I’m certain he’d have accepted.
