On the LNC business list for June 28, there are two reports on LNC computer issues. First, there was an identified bug in the computation of membership numbers. If a person in making a donation did not check a box saying that they had signed the membership oath, they were identified as a non-member donor, even though they were renewing their membership. The bug became significant two years ago, and has had an increasing effect ever since.
In fixing the bug and other issues, 200 man-hours of labor later, it was found that the national party has more than a thousand more members than the LNC had believed, and a few more life members. The recent decrease in membership is still visible, namely from the December to the May report the national party lost 1900 members. The full report is on the google pages.
Second, consulting firm Skvare has analyzed the CiviCRM software and reported on their findings.. Contrary to some pessimists elsewhere, they did not recommend trashing the project and starting over. Their recommendations were entirely concerned with improving the CiviCRM software. A large number of fixes and some long-term recommendations were included in the report.

I’ll be impressed when they rediscover my/Gilson Family life membership as party member 0-0000.
Shoulda listened to my Dad and suggested 007 to Nolan.
He had to renew his life membership twice as originally 0-0001.
I would like to know what is happening with the pledge-only memberships and family memberships. An historically lousy source of revenue, great source for activists, petition signers, and public official candidate recruits…
