The Kennedy Victory Fund has added several new affiliated committees, bringing the total number of member organizations to twenty, according to updated information on the Fund’s website. However, the Federal Election Commission still shows the Fund as having only twelve members as of Wednesday morning.
Earlier this month, the Kennedy Victory Fund—a joint fundraising committee initially formed between the Libertarian National Committee and the now-suspended presidential campaign of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.—filed its first quarterly report with the FEC since its July formation, revealing that the committee raised nearly $3 million with over $2.5 million of that amount disbursed to its affiliates. Around the same time, the Fund also filed an amended Statement of Organization, which listed twelve participating affiliate committees.
However, since then, the Kennedy Victory Fund website has been updated to reflect the addition of eight more political party committees and private PACs. The maximum contribution limit listed by the Fund has also increased from $127,900 to $177,900.
The website’s full list of affiliates now reads, “Paid for by Kennedy Victory Fund 2024, a joint fundraising committee authorized by Team Kennedy, the Libertarian National Committee (LNC), the Libertarian Party of Nebraska, the Libertarian Party of Connecticut, the Libertarian Party of Michigan Executive Committee, the Libertarian Party of Idaho, the Libertarian Party of Vermont, the Libertarian Party of Maine, the Libertarian Party of California, Mises PAC, the Libertarian Party of Maryland, the Libertarian Party of Georgia, the Libertarian Unity PAC, the Libertarian Mutual Aid PAC, the Free New Mexico Party, the Montana Libertarian Party, the Unified Libertarians of Massachusetts, the Libertarian Party of Hawaii, the Libertarian Party of Colorado, and the American Independent Party of California.“
Based on this list, the newly added affiliates include the Libertarian Parties of Maine, Vermont, California, Idaho, Maryland, and Georgia. While it’s not known by Independent Political Report when the other party committees chose to join the joint fundraising committee, the Georgia state affiliate initially voted to join at the end of the most recent quarter. In addition to these six state parties, the Fund also brought in the Mises PAC and the Libertarian Unity PAC.
The Libertarian Unity PAC appears to be a newly formed organization linked to Libertarian National Committee Chair Angela McArdle, who filed paperwork to establish the PAC on the same day the Kennedy Victory Fund submitted its amended Statement of Organization. While the PAC does not yet have an official website, a 30-second commercial for the organization, released within the last 24 hours, can be found on McArdle’s YouTube account.
It is unclear when exactly the Kennedy Victory Fund added the new affiliates, but it was likely within the past week, based on the timing of the recent updates to the Fund’s website. No updated filings reflecting these changes have been posted on the FEC website. As of this article, the most recent filings remain the quarterly report submitted on October 15 and the amended Statement of Organization filed on October 11, which still lists only twelve members.
