Libertarian National Committee Chair Steven Nekhaila has strongly condemned President Donald Trump’s recent proposal for the United States to take control of the Gaza Strip and forcibly relocate its Palestinian residents. In a statement, Nekhaila denounced the plan as a violation of international law and an affront to the principles of liberty and non-interventionism.
On Tuesday, during a White House press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump proposed that the U.S. should “take over” Gaza, rebuild it, and relocate the roughly two million Palestinians living there to other countries such as Egypt and Jordan. His remarks immediately drew widespread condemnation, with critics pointing out that the forced displacement of a population violates international law.
In a statement published by the Libertarian Party over social media on Wednesday, Nekhaila, who became Chair of the Libertarian National Committee this month, said:
As Chairman of the Libertarian National Committee, I unequivocally condemn President Donald Trump’s recent proposal for the United States to take over the Gaza Strip and forcibly relocate its Palestinian residents to neighboring countries. This plan not only violates international law—which prohibits forced displacement and the acquisition of territory by force—but also disregards the fundamental rights and dignity of the Palestinian people.
For decades, the Israeli lobby has exerted undue influence over American politics and foreign policy, steering decisions that often conflict with the principles of liberty and non-interventionism that we, as Libertarians, hold dear. This influence has led to unwavering U.S. support for Israeli policies, even when they contravene international norms and human rights standards.
The costs of these misguided foreign entanglements have been catastrophic. The U.S. has spent trillions of dollars on wars and interventions that have resulted in nothing but destruction and instability. The financial burden pales in comparison to the human toll: thousands of American service members have been killed or wounded, countless more suffer from lifelong physical and psychological trauma, and millions of innocent civilians—particularly in the Middle East—have borne the brunt of these reckless policies. The people of Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Yemen, and now Gaza have suffered immensely, not just at the hands of authoritarian regimes and terrorist organizations, but also as direct or indirect victims of U.S. interventionism.
The Libertarian Party stands firmly against using American taxpayer dollars to fund war and occupation. It is time to stop sending money and weapons overseas to fuel conflicts that do not serve our interests and that undermine our nation’s foundational principles of non-interventionism and self-determination.
Furthermore, we strongly oppose any form of collective punishment against the Palestinian population in Gaza, whether executed by the U.S. or the Israel Defense Forces. Such actions are not only morally reprehensible but also counterproductive, as they exacerbate tensions and hinder the prospects for a peaceful resolution.
The Libertarian Party advocates for a foreign policy rooted in non-interventionism, respect for sovereignty, and the protection of individual rights. We call upon the U.S. government to withdraw from entanglements that compromise these principles and to pursue diplomatic avenues that uphold justice and liberty for all peoples.
Trump has since doubled down, stating on Truth Social Thursday that Israel would “turn over” Gaza to the United States after the war. He reiterated his vision for American-led redevelopment efforts, adding that Palestinians could be “resettled in far safer and more beautiful communities.” Israeli officials have not formally responded, though Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised Trump’s initial suggestion in a Fox News interview.
“the real solution is one that requires Norway to get off its oily butt and actually contribute something to the cause of world peace besides empty words. There is a section of Antarctic coast formerly called New Swabia […] This is the ideal place to dump all the obstreperous Gazans and their death cult. […] Harsh? Perhaps, but what have the inhabitants of Gaza done to deserve better? Why should the peaceful Arabs of Egypt, Jordan, and Lebanon be saddled with the duty of housing these genocidal nutbags? No, let us install them in a land where they can harm nobody but themselves, until such time as they decide to start acting like peaceful, productive human beings again.”

Holy based, Batman!
What happens when a Salafi sheikh tries to be pragmatic about “palestinian” either becoming Israelis or leaving:

“Trump should at least offer all property owners in Gaza shares in his new real estate venture there.”
That might have been argued, prior to the endless “palestinian” violations of the Oslo Accords. But that right has been waived long since – when it comes to “palestinians”, at any rate.
Kach even included this extraordinarily generous plank in their platform back in the day:
“Every Arab inside Israel is to be offered the right of residence as a non-citizen. All non-Jews will have total personal rights and no national ones. Those who refuse the offer, and agree to leave quickly and peacefully, will receive compensation for their property, with 10% taken off and placed in a special fund for Sephardic Jews who left property behind in Arab countries and were never compensated.”
Trump should at least offer all property owners in Gaza shares in his new real estate venture there.
@Unknown
An interesting read for sure.
The excerpts
“‘the overwhelming moralizing and Christian influence of the far right wing of the Republican Party,’ convinced him that it was time to leave”
and
“Rubin said he agrees with the Libertarian Party on almost every issue except non-interventionism”
are somewhat troubling when you consider what areas of overlap exist between the 2000 LP platform and modern Jewish rejection of the traditional values of Judaism. E.g. abortion, divorce, genetic modification, etc.
This is especially concerning, in light of Rubin not only following in Kahane’s footsteps, but also being depicted here wearing a Kach T-shirt… There are many commendable aspects to Kach, certainly; particularly when contrasted against most other Israeli political parties of the post-Begin pre-Netanyahu period. However, their ideas about liberty – and lack thereof – are not exactly ones I am thrilled by, neither as a an actual libertarian, nor as a Christian: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kach#Religion
Still, I’d rather have anti-libertarians like Rubin or Kahane collaborating with the LP, than anti-libertarians like Harlos and Seebeck, Nekhaila and Darr, Oliver and ter Maat, or Sarwark, Bishop-Henchman and Jarvis hijacking it…
Remember when the Libertarian Party didn’t blame Jews first, last, and always? Pepperidge farm …er, internet archive remembers:

Libertarian Party is pro-terrorism and anti-semitic, so this is not surprising at all.
You are giving aid and comfort to terrorists and tyrants with your wrong headed condemnation. Condemning Israel for defending itself would be like condemning a woman for fighting off a gang of rapists. It’s no different than if you condemned Jews for fighting against the Nazis in the Warsaw Ghetto. You’re adding your voice to the weight of justifying and excusing all the crimes committed against Jews throughout history – pogroms, holocaust, expulsions, terrorist attacks, and much more, to this present day, and enabling more of them going forward.
If you’re going to advocate non intervention, it’s enough to simply advocate non intervention. You sully that message when you take sides, and make a mockery when you take the side of the terrorist aggressors and amplify their propaganda in your statement “against intervention.”
Actually, “condemning” is not the same as “intervening.” One can condemn without intervening.
Libertarians have always condemned tyrannical forms of foreign governments, including Communism, National Socialism, and Fascism.
That doesn’t mean we want to intervene (i.e., send troops or money into foreign conflicts). It means we condemn, but then try to offer the world a better example by fighting for liberty in our own country.
@Root’s Awesome Teeth
What “hateful slurs”? Calling a spade, a spade?
And what “calls for violence”? Saying what should be, or expressing sorrow that it won’t?
You are seeing things again, just like last time:
https://independentpoliticalreport.com/2025/01/constitution-party-of-california-seeks-to-regain-party-status/#comments
I gave you the benefit of the doubt then. I see now that was a mistake.
If you still need any convincing at this point, then you have already decided to become evil yourself, to stand idly by and do nothing, to scatter abroad.
You are either on the side of God, of Truth, of Justice and of Liberty; or you are on the side of satan, of deceit, of tyranny and of oppression. You have made your bed, now lie in it. Novit enim Dominus qui sunt Eius.
“Libertarians believe in non-intervention in other nations’ affairs and I commend Steven Nekhaila for his statement.”
You are contradicting yourself within a single sentence, most likely without realizing it. On one hand, you could support non intervention, and on the other hand you could commend a statement which condemns Israel for defending itself against terrorism and falsely blames it for US involvement in wars in that region of the world.
You can’t simultaneously condemn intervention and intervene on behalf of terrorist fanatics willing to use any and all means to create a global caliphate at the point of a sword.
Root’s of Teeth Are Awesome,
What led you to think that she wants to persuade anyone? I’ve seen no evidence of that. I don’t believe that is her goal.
The statement falsely blames Israel’s lobbying for US involvement in mideast wars, when in fact it was in reaction to radical Islamic terrorism against the US itself. Radical Muslims have also carried out many acts of terror in Europe, Canada, Africa, Russia, the Philippines, etc. It is erroneous to blame Israel or Israeli lobbying.
Many nations lobby the US government, and many nations violate international norms far more and far more often than Israel. Israel is singled out for condemnation by international organizations because of the influence of Muslim and Communist nations and because of hatred of Jews.
Diplomacy isn’t possible with advocates of actual genocide – which is what “from the river to the sea” means, not what the libertarians have joined many other groups in falsely calling genocide (Israeli self defense against Jihadi terrorism). Of course Israel has tried diplomatic approaches many times. They’ve been frustrated by the Jihadist refusal to even temporarily pretend to recognize Israel’s right to exist at all.
Naturally, there have been some civilian death’s in a war the Hamas terrorists started because they use their own civilian population as human shields. That happens in every war, and is not “genocide.”
The libertarian statements have gone far past calling for the US to not intervene and have repeated every propaganda point the Jihadist terrorists and their shills make. Falsely blaming Israel for US wars is just the latest form of blood libel against Jews.
Libertarians believe in non-intervention in other nations’ affairs and I commend Steven Nekhaila for his statement.
It’s also a nice little example of how stupid omnibus bills are: Bundling even as few as two opposite resolutions – stop funding and arming nazi terrorists who are invading and occupying one part of the world, and stop supporting self-defense against nazi terrorists who are invading and occupying a different part of the world – into one, to poison the whole motion.
@X
There was no separate article about it, but both Jordan and I did link it – albeit both times indirectly and incidentally (a different page of the motions and ballots spreadsheet):
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1OMLmOstNc1IE2fMrdFZxFVwaz29jzhmn/edit?gid=425026558#gid=425026558
The motion itself includes a link to the resolution, which Phillies quoted on TPW:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1uyiC3FpNTIEJ23MC1gSX3pNK6_HzElAV/
Note that the motion was co-sponsored by Harlos – big surprise there /s – Bost, Watkins and – of course – Nekhaila.
Note also that McArdle did not vote on the motion herself, nor did Vinson or Dassing, nor technically did Ford or McGee who ceded to their alternates – though they would presumably have known how those would vote.
Nuna, do you seriously hope to persuade anyone with your hateful slurs and calls for violence?
Jordan, did you post this one which was passed under McArdle?
https://thirdpartywatch.com/2025/01/24/lnc-resolution-attacking-israel/
Of course the statist scum “condemns” anything that is too libertarian for him.
What Trump should do but won’t, is of course to hand Gaza back to its rightful owner, Israel, after giving the nazi “palestinian” scum the choice of either 1) owning up to the fact that they are foreign Arab invaders and occupiers, not a distinct or separate people with more than a century or so of history in the region, nor any claim to the land; or 2) a nice, free, short, one-way helicopter ride over the Mediterranean or the Sinai, with an express ticket to hell thrown in. That would be true libertarianism in action.
But I repeat myself.
What a piece of antisemitic shit Nekhaila is, as the nazi Roman-wannabibi-Shukhevich already pointed out.
Unfortunately he’s not nearly relevant or important enough for Mossad to paint the walls with his brains like the nazi scumbag deserves.
