The Constitution Party of North Carolina has announced the date and location of its upcoming annual convention, set to take place in Fayetteville on March 29. The event is a combined convention for 2024 and 2025.
“It is with great pleasure that we invite you to The Constitution Party of North Carolina State Convention, scheduled for 10 AM, Saturday March 29th at 3901 Raeford Road, Fayetteville, NC 28304,” the party stated in an announcement this month “This gathering is a vital opportunity for our members and supporters to unite, exchange ideas, and advance our mission rooted in the values of our nation’s foundational documents.”
According to convention details, early registration is open and will continue until the week of the event. Only full members in good standing may vote on party business or seek leadership positions. The registration website also notes that this year’s event combines both the 2024 and 2025 conventions. The party originally postponed its 2024 Nominating Convention due to uncertainty over when the State Board of Elections would certify the organization during the last election cycle.
While the final agenda has not been released, the party indicated that the convention will feature keynote speeches from “distinguished party leaders and guest speakers,” panel discussions on issues aligned with the party’s platform, networking opportunities, the adoption of resolutions, and the annual election of state party officers. Confirmed speakers include state party chair Al Pisano, who will discuss his recent court cases against the State Board of Elections, and state party treasurer Vinny Smith, who will share his experiences as the party’s 2024 gubernatorial nominee.
The convention will also feature the drawing for the party’s ongoing gun raffle, which has been selling tickets for three firearms over the past year. The party previously announced ticket sales would end once 2,024 had been sold. The drawing will occur later that afternoon.
